The issue is *average global* temperatures rising, not just the situation where you live or even in the whole of the UK.
It may be cold now but we have just had 11 consecutive months of above average temperatures; since records began in 1884, that has never happened in the UK before.
A quote from The Guardian, 1st December 2022: “All of the top 10 warmest years on record for the UK have occurred since 2002, a clear indicator of our warming climate,” said Mike Kendon, from the National Climate Information Centre.

I resisted for a while but the world faces a genuine climate crisis - one which no amount of money and effort will be able to fix - so I don't like leaving misleading statements unchallenged.
We need to be serious about this now and take action. The larger part of CO2 emissions remain in our atmosphere for a long period of time so even achieving net zero means there is a long lag before CO2 emissions decline.
The narrative hasn't changed at all.
