Anyone else wishing that he would have kept a lower profile whilst presiding over the current shambles? Doesn’t give the impression he’s got his eye on the ball.

There must be a part of him thinking ‘I’m a multi millionaire helicopter pilot who’s shagged Danni Behr. Why do I need a job where Gary Fvckface and Kevin Ballbag keep making shite memes about me on Twitter’

We’ll regret it I think, but no one will own up to it. Everyone will just move on to the next in vogue scapegoat and we’ll all sit here in another 8 years time in the same position.

Maybe he should reboot Airwolf then. If it keeps him busy for most of the year, everyone's a winner.

I've tweeted him to that effect to remind him.

Probably churlish of me to point it out but we’ve got f**k all to hang on to at the moment and after the weekend we’ve had , I thought thanks for that.

I would be interested in what the job description is for the DofF at QPR......I have supported Les in the past, I am unsure now.

Nah mate, I was listening and it annoyed the crap out of me too. Commentated out of history because we're not deemed elite.

He is doing a poor job as our DoF at the moment but I for one see no harm in him going on the telly on a Sunday afternoon and talking about a club he played for.

For me, this Ainsworth era is Les’ last chance. Ainsworth has shown he can make good use of any type of player so I am hoping that he can help Les improve at taking lower league players who are under the radar - I don’t mean the latest 20 goal a season strikers because they are probably too expensive for us - and turning them into what we need.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I think he's transitioning to a media career and been saying so for weeks.

Ainsworth wouldn't have been his pick, and Amit and Ruben never mentioned him in their 25 minute interview.

I think he's off in the summer.

I have added this to my wish list.

I will also email the club to cancel my ST Direct Debit citing that I will no longer watch whilst he is employed by the club.

Our relegation in 1996 coincided with his leaving to join Newcastle and our relegation in 2015 coincided with him returning as Head of Football Operations in Oct 2014 then upgraded to DoF in Feb 215.

He has to go if the club us to ever go up again.

Scouting for players.

Shamelessly touting to get his hands on some Saudi money more like - as if any other club is ever going to give him a DOF role:

Our first team is 18th out of 24.
Our B team is 9th out of 10.
Our U18 team is 9th out of 10.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Amazing how no one cared when he was on as a pundit for Newcastle in the early rounds when QPR were doing well

We've got plenty of problems, this really isn't one of them

Exactly. Not sure what Les is supposed to do with his time. He's not allowed to:

> be near the training pitch
> travel to scout players
> hide behind his desk
> work as an analyst
> be anywhere near his "cronies" (never got that, why are they his "cronies" or his "mates"? Aren't they people he employs? Didn't he only know one from Spurs?

I am sure the Les haters / blamers are going to get their wish in the summer based on that interview with the owners.

I look forward to the new DofF catapulting us into the premier league.

This is fair.

What I would add is that opinion on Les is now cemented (unfairly in my opinion) and I don’t think it really matters what he does now, he could win the league and people will say it was despite him.

Maybe it’s too early for the tributes, but the changes he has made to the toxic and damaging culture of the club should be lauded. It’s just not very sexy, and therefore doesn’t trouble the opinion formulating part of some people’s minds.

Someone mentioned stopped clocks earlier in relation to his successes. I think it’s works the other way round. If you are saying how terrible things at the club are all the time you’ll eventually be right.

Whoever is next, whenever it is, I hope they carry on the same work (but better).

Schrödingers Ferdinand.

Heavily involved with transfers when they are bad but had nothing to do with the good ones.

Might have to get us back up to the Championship first.

To be clear, I don't have a problem with him doing it at all. I think it's actually quite good for us. My point is more he never used to - the reason it came up was because he's doing a lot more this season, which is a change in his life. Could be 2+2=5, but I think not.

Bare bones.

As others have said, Ainsworth is the last roll of the dice for Les.

If it goes wrong, he needs to big up his profile. Thus he's available TV now, and they like him as he talks nice, is in football still so, supposedly has the knowledge that's up to date and was a ex-player that Nukey fans love. In addition he will be way cheaper than Shearer.

zzzzzzzzzz
