Why do so many players get cramp? I know that it is sometimes tactical, time-wasting cramp, but, when it is real... why?
I can recall, on one occasion, playing for the school on Saturday morning and the village reserve team the same afternoon. No professional health and fitness support and ... no cramp.

Players in teams that are winning seem to struggle more than when they are losing, so make of that what you will. As Clive puts in this piece, winning appears to be a genuine cure for "niggles"...

Can we go out yet?

I think it's just really, really obvious. And in the lockdown they pulled back the magician's curtain and showed you - when push came to shove, players out of contract with other deals linedup withdrew their labour for fear of getting injured. That happens multiple times, everywhere, every season, you just don't see it as blatant as Hall, Taylor and others were forced into showing publicly by the pandemic.

"few major errors" simply isn't true, as listed in the piece with video examples.

"Simply isn't true"? It's just an opinion (everyone has them) of what is a major error. I saw only one error that I considered really major from Seny in the clips you put up, the first against Sunderland. I remember a worse error that gave the opposition an immediate goal which I didnt see there, can't remember who we were playing. For what it's worth I agree at times Dieng wasn't at his best especially around Feb/March but generally I thought his handling in the box and saves saved us many times as did his accurate distribution earlier on. What sticks in my failing memory is when Dykes was out sick, Martin hadn't arrived, we needed an out-ball, Seny managed to find Laird's head or chest wide right with several longish clearances in a row, which the way we were playing then probably saved us a goal or two. We changed our defenders and our defensive set-up many times last season and considering the resultant confusion in front of him, I thought Dieng did better than any of the outfield players who played 35 + games averaged out over the whole season.

You don't consider that second Jeff Hendrick goal at Reading a goalkeeper error?

Absolute joke he won goal of the season.

Not a major one no. Just looking at it again on my phone now it looks like (not sure) that the shot he saved took a deflection off one of our 4 defenders trying to block it which makes Dieng getting a hand to it at all a decent save. If not he still may have been partially unsighted, maybe should of done better, but still not the major balls up I was talking about. I wondered more why Field wandered away from the goal line and then reacted so slow when it ballooned up in the air.

From a keeper who commanded his area superbly he has gone down hill this season .
He has been far from the worst but it’s a low bar.

Weren't there also rumours about him enjoying his Saturday nights out?

As we all know, footballers are never allowed to enjoy themselves.

Bare bones.

I probably sit somewhere between norf and Oslo.

I think he was very good before the World Cup, and fine up until Jan/Feb, and then had a poor run of form before picking up again towards the end iof the season. I find it difficult to blame him too much - three different managers expecting three different things, I think he was claearly under instruction from Gaz with regards to distribution latterly in the season. Suspect he suffered with confidence at one stage. And also think with what's been in front of him this season, you're bound to see more mistakes and more hesitancy. By law of averages, if you're facing more shots you're going to make more errors. At times he was shockingly exposed. I don't really agree he stopped commanding his box, I think he remained decent at coming for the ball, although there were instances like Blackpool which were very poor, and other incidents where he was caught off his line and lobbed, which I felt were unfortunate.
Overall, by his standards, a C seems about right, but I'd still take him over pretty much every other keeper in this division.

Bare bones.
