Peter Kingham... RIP 13:47 - Apr 1 with 2866 viewsLblock

Sad to hear this news.

I don't say this lightly but... without Peter and his brother Trevor we might not have this club to support.

The driving force behind the early LSA those boys and a big reason why I loved the away days back then.

Hope the team can do him proud today.

RIP Pete.... a hoops legend.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

That is sad news. I, like most, got on very well with Pete. Hadn't spoken with him since a particularly poor away at Sheffield Wednesday (4-0), but as always, never skipped a beat when it came to following the R's. He'd moved to Rotherham, still commuting to the Scrubs for work and was thinking about retiring to his wife's country of birth, which was a Baltic country I believe. Hope it was peaceful.

I am sooo sorry to hear that, it's really dampened my mood. Peter & Trevor, along with DT and a number of other stalwarts among the fans, are the reason we are able to have a team to support and follow. The LSA might seem like a archaic memory to many of the newer followers but their importance cannot be overstated, Peter & Trevor were the driving force behind our survival back in those dark days.
RIP Peter, gone but not forgotten.

The grass is always greener.

I knew Peter for 45 years
Many happy memories of home and away games and visiting his house in Burnt Oak
We even played football together in the eighties
RIP Peter

Peter and Trevor very influential in bringing the fans together. Went to many away games with them and hooked up with Peter in Rotherham and Derby away a while back.

Anyone recall his Greek QPR flag?

Take care Peter.

Oh yes - the flag that nearly sparked a riot in Athens in March 1977 😊

Rest well Peter - you and Trevor were absolute stalwart fans

Very sad news.
I knew Peter and Trevor from going up and down the country on the coaches in the 60s and all through the 70s.
They were always friendly , and made sure everyone was looked after, in some hostile situations sometimes.
Rangers through and through.
Will be remembered fondly by many of us older Rs.
RIP mate
