Seems to be one that has escaped criticism this season.
Has practically been injured all season and when he has been on the pitch, there has been practically nothing happening.
Appreciate he was in a ridiculous position last time out but he has been a big disappointment for me.
I was extremely hopeful for the guy on the first few games. Was thinking how we have we managed to pull this one off. Couldn't believe we had signed such a player with such potential.
For me he is giving off Chris Willock vibes.
I want him to do well but fear he wont and will be another that is hardly ever available.
From what I have seen of both Yang and Saito, I think my focus for overseas would be in the Asian countries where work ethics is so much more of a thing. Is a massive generalisation, do appreciate that but I guess go to what works and maybe avoid small European leagues for now !!!
But yes Dembele needs to show something before the season is out for me.
He got a permanent contract and then got permanently injured and he has returned permanently out of form
Appreciate Madsen has not done well but he is one up on Dembele. He has been always available. Strange that by way of comparison, Dembele has not been criticised much at all by this forum. Maybe because fans think he could be good eventually. It's not been evident at all so far.

He looked lost for the first 20 minutes he was on today, but he was starting to get it going from inside right by the end. He wants to play more in the centre rather than the wing and he was getting it there more at the end to create a couple of scruffy chances. I’d play him before Andersen next time. I am probably in the minority here but trying to score directly from corners and either putting it straight out or into the keepers gloves under the bar I see as very selfish generally.
The ball should be delivered with power and inswing over the penalty spot where this is zero chance their keeper can come and claim it . Look at Nardi getting lost trying for that exact ball ,hopeless losing out ,protesting to the ref as a decent striker heads it over the empty net .
However Dembele must have been advised or their keeper was scouted struggling to palm those 2 away.

It was a gamble but he’d started great and the club would’ve got pelters for not sorting a deal out if he’d stayed fit, played well and been recalled by Brest in January and sold to someone like Bristol City or Norwich for a few million.
Think he’ll turn out to be a very good signing for us. |
I personally think the deal was already agreed we'd buy him in the summer and they just announced it to give some good news at a fans forum
