This is not a Marti bashing thread, just interested in the Leicester fans responses. Similar issues that we had, questions about the owners, players not invested, despairing at style of play etc. Should Leicester be doing better or are their fans just entitled?
I don't feel we saw the best of Marti and would be interested to see how he would have done with our current squad.
Looking forward to our home match with them, Nourry will want to prove a point, as I expect Marti and Julien will.
100% it’s still a top 4 squad IMO with a number of excellent young players coming through and the bookies’ pre season odds reflected this. He’s struggling to get points or win the fans over with his playing style.
Talking to a mate who us a foxes fan, he's not convinced the squad is that good or, that anyone would get a tune out of it. I suspect we might find out soon.
As for not getting a tune out of an extensively assembled squad, how funny are the goings on at Anfield? No doubt temporary, but funny nonetheless!

A Leicester fan at work has said that for all the famous names in their squad, they’ve been fluking some of their wins despite terrible performances. Between the ownership and the FFP penalty hanging over them, it’s a bin fire behind the scenes about to get worse. Ironically they might get rid of Marti just when he’d come into his own as a firefighter.

My son, who loves the stats etc, said that according to the stats he looks at, Leicester are over achieving. This would back up your comment about them fluking wins.
For the nerds - their expected position (based on expected points, which is based on xg totals on a game by game basis) is 17th, 2 places lower than they actually are.
Probably the hardest club to manage in the league right now. Marti will get another gig, but not sure he made the best career move with this one.
This time last season he had us bottom of the league. He was not as good and not as bad as some make out.
he also during that time had a way way poorer squad than we presently have and half of them were half fit at best ,
this season even clark salter has made an apperence before the xmas dec have come down thats got to be an improvement would we have got tanked at cov under marti ? with this squad id say no , would we have been this high up the table who nows .

If it doesn't work out for Marti there, I think he'll get another chance somewhere in England but will be on thin ice.
Lookiing from outside I think it would be viewed as great first season for us, average second season and left under a cloud.
I don't understand what's happening at Leicester at all but I suspect the view from outside would be that they should be doing better than they are due to budget et (rightly or wrongly).
I think he'll have to pick / choose / accept his next appointment carefully (if it comes to that).
With all that said, table it still really tight, they could win 3 games and be in the playoffs so I'm sure it's really panic stations yet.
I'd like to see him do well, but not as well as us!
hi james not seen u around for a while , its was a joke ref clark slater by the way actaully thoiught he had played more , luckily this season hes not that an important memebr of the swuad where as last season we relied on him and missing him when he was injured now barely notice his absence

I think in his career his average duration at a club is two years

To be fair, even JS didn't have this squad at Coventry.
Don't think you deserved a downvote so have upvoted.
If he had stayed he would have had Kone, Burrell and Mbegune to work with. Not to mention Vale and Saito. A mistake for him and that JS has come in and done some decent work so, that makes it look worse for him, despite the better players coming in.

Hi wombat - I’m around just avoiding certain discussions…. Personally think a fully fit JCS walks straight into side and would improve us massively. Will he get there? Fingers crossed. I would think he’ll start Saturday so let’s see how he gets on.
