Fantastic report and performance.
I really like Stephan. I really like that he never gets too carried away or too worried by anything. I like that he has the respect of the players, even if they don't play as much as they want. I like the fact that he coaches a squad and not just his favourite 11. I like that if someone doesn't quite train right they are in the stands with the fans that week. I like that he seems easy going but he obviously has a bit of bite about him and can be ruthless.
However... the acid test of just how good we can be and how far we go is also determined by what QPR turns up at Portsmouth, West Brom and at home against Norwich. Particularly Portsmouth. The kind of game we tend to not show up for on a Boxing Day date we rarely get much from. Get a result against Portsmouth and you start to think, okay, what can this team do? Whimper to a 1 or 2-0 defeat against a team we really should put to the sword and it's well, we're doing fine but we're still not as ruthless as we need to be and we still struggle in these types of situations.
But, overall, this season and this manager are both exceeding expectations. Long may it last. |  |

Very enjoyable afternoon, so good that HT we engaged in a bottle of luke warm Carlsberg piss, something I’d vowed never to repeat circa 2015.
Have to say, Stephans Madsen vs Marti’s Madsen puts to bed all the nonsense discussed once and for all. Remarkable transformation considering we couldn’t get a tune out of him last season.

Snap re the Carlsberg, although I was handed it by smiling friends as I headed up from my seat. It tasted better than I expected but I put that down to Mbengue and co.
I was also at the Boro 4-0 HT game in 1998, which was just as staggering. However, that was a freak result by a pretty dire team, whereas this team is starting to get me a little bit excited.

The fact that Leicester weren't bothered and never looked like scoring makes the second half an anti climax when they somehow got a goal and we didn't. How could we lose the second half to a disinterested opponent and miss out on getting out of a negative GD?
It was unfortunate Hamer dived to his left as he couldn't get back across goal to save the rebound. If he just stood his ground and not moved or dived to his right he would have stopped the goal as the rebound shot would have been the side he was covering. If ever a goal wasn't deserved then Leicester's consolation falls into that category. |  | | |

Did not want to mention this but you did so thank you.Just a footnote on a brilliant afternoon for us but Hamer and his reaction save attempt showed his rust/recovery from injury.
Now once again I just watched on tv but it looked like he should have been able to spring back up faster and claw that rebound away to my eyes.Would love to hear the opinion or those close or behind the net .
As for QPR not getting 6 or 7 not sure if JS called off the dogs or just naturally slackened off but we did have multiple chances so its all good |  | | |
