I thought he worked hard today , but my god he should have had 3 goals , but he took his goal well. Definitely a work in progress.

I like kone, don't really want to hear too much against him. He's played so many games this season, and keeps going. It was said about Karl Henry that he wasn't the best, but at least he was available. This guy is decent, way better than we've had for years, is young and keeps turning up. Top bloke to me

I think we are lucky to have him. There are some rough edges to his game, but that is a lot to do with his age and experience. Kone works hard up front and always puts a shift in. I’m glad he got a goal today as his overall performance deserved it. Yes he may miss chances and he will have bad games but with Jone and Burrell we are going to have one heck of a strike force. As for Kolli i am not as big a fan of him as some others on the board, but there is a lot of potential there. I thought today he had some good moments, but he also made some poor decisions, which is to be expected for a player his age.

He’s working his bollocks off up front without a proper settled partner, in his first season in the highest league he’s ever played in. I do get frustrated with him sometimes giving it away or running into blind alleys but overall you have to show him total respect for the effort he puts in, never ever hiding, and getting his goals

He’s a weird player in that he looks like he should be fast but he isn’t, at all. But up front as a target man he takes two centre backs to keep him quiet and he also never stops closing down

Streets ahead of Dykes, Frey, Kelman, Bonne and all the other forwards we’ve been toying with for years and he’ll get better

He's the best and most natural striker we've had in years and years, and if he stays fit he's just gonna get better and better. If he had an extra yard of pace, he could make it to the very top in time.

Great thread Connell.

Kone has had some stick from some on here. Hard to understand that.

Occasionally his close control is wayward but he keeps going, amd game after game, keeps at it for 90 minutes and beyond. His movement made space for Bennie as it did previously for Burrell.

Fantastic back story and think he will improve also

A lot to like about this player. And doesnt let failure define him.

Hope he lasts though. Him and Madsen being overplayed.

I think he is a proper centre forward. Really like him. Love his attitude.

I just don’t think he’s fully fit. That’s not just him carrying a knock, if he is. I think he’s carrying some conditioning, in horse racing terms.

Would love to see him next season a little leaner and fitter. Will add 5-7 goals to his game.

He wont be perfect at 23, not many 23 yr olds are - He'll grow, and hopefully that will be with us for a few seasons - Well on for double figures this season and then build on that next season - Its not about thats why he plays for us

He's 22 (which only strengthens your case, of course).

Kone I said before was decent. Remember when Furs came here and was slated a lot, we later found out he had a back injury and also the team did not play to his strengths. The team need to play to his strengths as that is how we get the best from him.

I stated many times Bennie is not a winger or midfielder. He cannot dribble or beat a player with pace.
But what he can do is make great runs, continue running all game, and as I previously stated, I suspected his shooting was good as well.

JS played him up front today as the 10, and it worked. If he can continue that, then we have a Tony Thorpe/Anyd Thompson type player on our hands here. This will be great as a backup for Burrell as he can press as well.

We also learned that Hayden can play RB, as when we had the ball, he would drop back into their zone in the first half, and it worked. So, that is another useful option for the future. If we have Cook gone and Edwards in the middle, and Mgbenue gets suspended, then Hayden can play there. So, that was a useful experiment.

Kohli struggled in the first half, but then started to click with Kone in the second. True, Dulls defence was terrible. But he was getting better before the sub. Won a few headers as well.

JCS coming back is useful as RND I would think is getting tired now. JCS can at least play LB if he keeps fit (stop laughing at the back). The subs bench looked weak so, hopefully we see a return of a few more soon. We need Chair back.

zzzzzzzzzz

Thought Kone was excellent today, a real handful and never stopped going. Obviously missed a couple but his finish finally for the goal was immaculate and of course that chance came about as a direct result of him still pressing in the 94th minute.

Personally I liked the way he atoned for the miss (second one wasn't as bad) by providing his own assist for the 3rd goal. Good signs. From what I watched the team worked really hard to shut down Hull's playing style.

We shouldn't forget its his first season at this level and how many people wrote Madsen off last season.

Also gave us another 90 minutes when visibly not 100% when so many footballers, at QPR and otherwise, won’t play with any slight twinge nowadays. Should be a given that you play through the pain occasionally but it isn’t and fair play to him for that.

Great signing and puts his body on the line every game. Playing too many minutes right now, especially now he's carrying a knock. People say he is slow, but I think he's probably deceptively quick. There was a recent stat that he covers the most ground running flat out than any other player. He also gets back a defends well, we need to look after this one.

I am over the moon he scored. He -and we - needed that! Will do his confidence the world of good.
