Iran is a theocracy. Cutting off the head of the snake doesn't mean regime change as it's all based on religious belief.

What really worries me with this conflict is the the US are in a way the same. Trump has surrounded himself with evangelical Christians and this could end up a kind of religous war.

As messed up as our politics is, we should be immensely grateful that religion doesn't really interfere.

Don't disagree with most of that, although the rise of the Greens as an obvious Trojan Horse for the Islamic vote kinda makes me doubt the final paragraph.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It shouldn't be discounted that a large proprtion of the Green vote comes from younger voters (of all ethnicities) where they are bay far the popular choice.

There's no way I would vote Green. As things stand they and Reform are two sides of the same coin.

When Sultana and Corbyn (aka the Fruit and Nut party) get their arse in gear and actually set up their party who will these supporters currently aligned to the greens be attracted to given the choice?

I was a bit too cryptic there I think....

It's the motto of the UDA...but of course we ARE seperated by religion, especially in Scotland and Ulster

This was one of many sectarian banners in both ends on Sunday...

If true, it'll be only the second time in history that a vessel has been sunk by a nuclear submarine.

The first time was the General Belgrano.

Playing an interesting game of strategic chess.

Venezuela - Hezbollah with a big presence there. China strong control of the regime. Russian oil tanker trade. Reduced funds for Russia now

Cuba - communist govt will fall because they are so reliant on Venezuela. Russia operation base on the edge of USA. Will lose it

Syria - regime changed - no longer Russias main Middle east base of operations and now working with USA. The arms supply route to Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis

Iran - the primary supplier of missiles and drones to Russia for its war in Ukraine

Afghanistan - big border with Iran. Pakistan conveniently goes to war with the Taliban a few days before Iran starts. Planned beforehand??

Today the Iranian Kurds sent thousands into North Western Iran so there's now boots on the ground. Tehran is North Central. Planned beforehand??

Sometimes the best way to take on the Russians might not be going directly to war with them

Just take as many of their chess pieces off the board as possible.

Greenland included lol - partially kidding on this one

Coverage seems to suggest the oldies in Iran are still in a state of Ayotollah mode .

We have lived like this since the Middle Ages , our Land and culture so The West and Uncle Sam go away , do not tell us how to rule a Country .

Trump wants the new generation of Iranians to risk their lives and march and get killed fighting that cause for freedom .

Starmer has splinters in his rear end , that fence has a few sharp points there mush .

Maybe the voting tactics of sitting on that fence will not upset certain voting direction .

A large proportion of the support for Khomeini came from young leftists. After the revolution thousands of them were executed.

Western democracy, particularly in Europe, is at a critical point. If it's going to survive, theocratic belief systems cannot be allowed to take any kind of hold in our Government.

The first plane bringing people back from the warzone flew into Luton Airport this morning. “It was terrifying” said one passenger who had never been to Luton before.

Good post, the new arrangements with those running Venezuela definitely make the impact of a strike on Iran more manageable for the US.
