The US America First policy is putting America’s interest above everything else, and while I agree with having a policy of promoting your own interest it doesn’t mean riding roughshod over everything else and in particular your allies. We’ve already been dragged in to 1 illegal war in the Middle East. Greenland, tariffs, are a just couple of other areas where the US is treating its allies poorly.

The US wanted regime change, Bush didn’t want to act unilaterally and they wanted their allies and Britain to support them. Blair was approached and gave an undertaking to Bush he’d support the US in 2002 a year before the war. The WMD fiasco was his excuse.
