The first plane bringing people back from the warzone flew into Luton Airport this morning. “It was terrifying” said one passenger who had never been to Luton before.
We really are embarrassing over our defence of Akrotiri France Spain and Greece have all dispatched war ships to the area we aren't able to send one over till next week which will take 5 days to get there.
You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

As I said in another thread, 5 out of 6 Destroyers in port for upgrades and repairs. We couldn't run a bath.

The admiral hasn’t finished his game of bowls yet.
This conflict, alongside the ease with which the US breezed past Venezuela's defences, also neatly demonstrates the folly of considering Russia and China as serious military rivals.
Both Iran and Venezuela were serious client states of both countries when it comes to military tech, especially air defence, and the Americans and Israelis have just laughed at it all and carried on.
The Russkies and Chinese have Nukes. That's about it. In terms of conventional weaponry they look to be about 20 years behind. Probably more as it's likely the Americans will move on again soon. They've already got the B2 and F-22 replacement programmes on the go.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

As they lob missiles into 8 neighbours, Starmer says the solution is negotiation, it may be a bit late.

Isn’t that why we went into Iraq in 2003?
Lots of prevalent commentators who for the last 2 decades have (rightly) criticised Blair for blindly following the US into war seen very keen for Starmer to do the same.

Don't forgot 1991, that was the opportunity that was never taken.

Reading the news about our lack of preparedness and lack of warships ,prompted me to wonder how long before we hear the news from Port Stanley that the Falklands are now in the Argies hands.

No need. Give it a year or two and Starmer will be agreeing to pay them billions to take the Falklands off our hands, Chagos style.

You’re probably right , he’s already looking at Gib back to the Spanish via the EU.
Nonsense.
He’s signed off an agreement on border controls on Gibraltar which the residents on Gib have been pushing for a long time. The agreement is exactly what the government of Gibraltar have been asking for and is supported by their Chief Minister. Brexiteers over here have been whinging, but then again they don’t live in Gib. I’d say what Starmer has done is very democratic, he’s given the residents of Gib what they want, British passports and unrestricted movement to and from Gibraltar.

You'll be pleased to know that we only prepare for war between 9 and 5.

I expect that from your "nonsense" response that you've read the 700 page + annexes document , Starmer and democracy in the same sentence, you ought to be on the stage .

Just a clip of somebody talking sense on the topic. Puts Farage, Badenoch and much of the media to shame by their banging the drum for war. It is interesting that many of the of the people spouting sovereignty as their reason for Bexit are now getting their knickers in twist over the 'special relationship' because we exercised that sovereignty in not following Trump and Netanyahu into war. Good to see that most of the British public agree with the stance we've taken.
