According to Twitter's advance search prior to the summer of 2023 he'd only mentioned QPR when Mick Beale going to Rangers.

Since July 2023 he has Tweeted about us 15 times including...
- Saying the Charlie Kelman deal to Charlton will be worth £5m
- Prior to the Charlton deal saying Charlotte FC were coming for Kelman
- Praising us for the "excellent addition" of Kwame Poku
- An exclusive on us signing Karamoko Dembele, for a fee he says is 3m euros
- A bidding war for Sinclair Armstrong, and the player choosing Bristol City from the potential suitors
- A 5m bid from Trabzonspor for Ilias Chair, followed by QPR rebuffing the offer
- Exclusives about Isaac Hayden and Reggie Cannon joining.
- Three different Tweets on Asmir Begovic's move here.

There's something about Romano...

I think there is more to come from this story. He is one of the pioneers of beggars with phones. He's acting as an agent, getting paid from all angles, making up stories, stealing other peoples work.

One thing he is most definitely not, is a journalist. You won't find too many actual journalists getting paid by the Saudis to promote anything!

I reckon the only way to find out what he thinks his actual job is, would be to see what he writes on a Visa application

The most amazing thing about this bloke is how quickly he has established his brand and cornered the ITK market.

I know people who aren't on any social media who have heard of him and will ask "what does Fabrizio say?" when discussing a transfer rumour.

The allegations that he's not a football journalist at all and is employed directly by agents have been around for at least a couple of years.

If you go through the list of our players and agents and compare that to the names FR has tweeted about it's striking that none of them has the same agent:

I've also looked at the players tweeted about who have left (Paal, Cannon, etc) and again none of them has the same agent.

His influence seems to be incredibly widespread.

The game seems to be riddled with chancers everywhere you look now.

Problems is, there's are legions of people willing to lap this schit up.

I remember back in t' day on the old official QPR message board a certain drummer appeared out of nowhere and was all over the message board every day about this signing and that signing and all sorts of other stuff.

Most people lapped it up, one guy even missed his train home (no smartphones then) while he was waiting on his PC at work to hear about the signing that never materialised, because of course, they never did yet people still got the thrill of the dopamine 'hit'.

Forward wind 20+ years and people are making a career out of this stuff because it's like a drug to the general population.

The amateur running world is awash with wannabe influencers (or runfluencers, if you will) that are all out there all the time inventing fake race results/paces, begging manufacturers for brand ambassadorships, and boasting to their followers, whilst doing absolutely nothing whatsoever to promote the actual sport, or help administer it, or help actually run anything or organise anything in any shape or form. Really grinds my gears!

I think a lot of people just enjoy having talking points served up to them. Even if they don't particularly believe in it.

So much of mainstream football coverage is focused on a small elite number of clubs and players. And a lot of that coverage is more like celebrity showbiz reporting than football coverage with endless dross about what Beckham is wearing this week, or who's dating who, who's going into the jungle, who's playing away from home, who's smashed up his third favourite sportscar, who's given the cat a kick.

My mum knows nothing about football but she can't get enough of Frank and Christine or Wazza and Colleen (I know, I know, we've had the doctor in).

The average football fan doesn't care less about that stuff (well, most of the time). They want to know about and talk about their club, and social media and all these ITK herberts fill that need in a way that the mainstream media just doesn't anymore.

They don't have to be right about the news. They just have to be first with it.

Even at QPR where we are lucky to have LFW, WLS, and a wide range of very good blogs and YouTube channels there's still a big appetite for this baseless tittle tattle that social media provides.

I mean he’s been very open about the fact that most of what he posts he gets directly from agents wanting their clients name out there, the rest he either steals and ‘credits’ long after the fact or just outright makes up.

There is a reason he doesn’t ‘break’ actual big stories.

The only people in football who are directly ‘itk’ are DOFs, agents and small market local journalists who spend their life at training grounds and foster personal connections. And two of those three use information strategically to their advantage.

Is there anything about Twitter that isn't a shtshow? Only thing keeping many on that toxic site is a history of a huge base, which is declining. Many people/ govts/businesses are quitting.

I remember years ago when the August transer window closed, a website (I think it was Football365) did an article where they ranked all the national newspapers by what percentage of transfers they'd reported on were actually accurate.
Can't remember which shıtrag came out top of the pile but I do know that they had about 7 or 8 percent of their stories were accurate.
and that's the one that did the best.

The whole bullshıt hype around transfers, yet another reason to hate modern football.
