None of this is on the manager.
Nourry is literally hanging him out to dry on live TV. The shenanigans that are obviously going on behind the scenes especially around the conditioning and wellness of the squad is Sunday league level.
Literally, from the first game of the season we’ve not been capable of providing the manager with a fully fit squad of players.
Season after season the same level of mis-management of the club is allowed take the fans down the gutter. And to think the fans have been packing LR out. Not sure where we go from today but the fans need make life unbearable for the top level management of the club in the same way they’ve taken the utter piss out of us.

Repeatedly picking the worst goalkeeper in the Championship is not on the Manager?

I can actually see Stephan resigning sooner rather than later. Not sure it would be a wise economical decision but anyway...

Clearly some of the selections are not the managers choices. That is abundantly obvious.

Am expecting Stephan to be let go, but most self respecting potential new managers will be aware of the hierarchy here and the lack of control a manager has here under our innovative new system, where football people are not the ones in control....

I saw it too, but for me It looked more like RND explaining something to Saito who is doing what he (and most others do) when they don't fully understand a foreign language, smile and nod.

It can be spun however you want after that shit show.

Yeah, I would probably give Saito the benefit of the doubt but he obviously needs to be told that it shouldn't happen again. RND on the other hand, 8 years in English football playing for various clubs and Wales NT....should know better IMO.

At 1-0 we were in the game but Stephan did what he always does, sat on his hands until they'd scored their second. We'd probably still have lost but it sums him up. Just a nothing kind of manager - he hasn't improved young players (arguably some have regressed), the style of football is awful (boot it up to Kone) and he is shocking at in-game management. I can't see him lasting much longer but obviously the main problems are above him.

Stephan cost us the first goal. We were hanging on (with the 4-3-3) but then. for some reason he pushes Morgan up into a front four, they launch an attack, it becomes 7 against 6 and they overload us and score. Have a look on the highlights. JS cost us that game.

I'm going to defend JS.

Did you see the bench today? There is nothing to change the game with.
As for the style of football. That is on Noury and not on JS, for two reasons. Firstly, Ben Wiliams which has been discussed on other threads. If you can't put your best players out then your stuffed.
Secondly, with that CM (put together by Noury) is a joke. This all goes back to the summer. Undercooked and unconditioned players and money wasted on Saito rather than buying a central midfield that can pass a ball.

If I was JS I'd walk. And tell them to fck off as I turned the light off.

There is something. During the brief period we were causing them a few problems Smyth could have come on.

Cook on, Edwards in the middle.

When the game was obviously lost he could have experimented, played Vale in the centre, done something.

As previously discussed he isn't proactive but, eventually, reactive.

At what point is enough, enough with this lot.

Have so much time for the fans that are on here looking to be level-headed and approach things with calmness and logic but that was a p*ss take out there today.

They were never up for it from the first whistle, we made Boro look like the Dutch side of the 80s. Absolute f*cking dross. No fight, no desire, nothing and we just turn up, in the thousands paying out extortionate amounts in a cost of living crisis. Watching RND get torn a new arseh0le by Morgan Whittaker - yeah cheers. Season ticket early bird offer out soon is it?

We just accept it. We have a fans forum, we're treated like plebs being told about our favourite player not playing at the weekend. We get ChatGPT-esque quotes on an U23 player leaving. We're not allowed to know about injuries or contracts or how much we're spending on players. No, thats not for us mere mortals, only the footballing men can know that.

The arse of the squad has fallen out, your arguably fielding a League One team against a side gunning for promotion because again, you've f*cked the conditioning of the players.

PLOT TWIST, EVERYONE IN THE INDUSTRY CAN FIND OUT, IT'S ONLY THE FANS THAT ARE LOSING OUT.

We have a decent continental manager come in, turns the ship around after Ainsworth debacle, does well, his whole squad blows up, he starts to get prickly and is replace. We have another decent continental manager come in, does well, his whole squad is blown up he starts to get prickly... and on it goes.

The plebs being told that we're signing players using data and stats, looking at 'profiles' that are regularly sold into the Premier League, you'd never get it.... oh but here comes your favourite pint-sized, one-paced Japanese winger (that famous profile) and your QPR supporting 5'10 centre half with no pace that both happen to be super popular. There goes £6m but doesn't matter, look at that hair and have you seen the pictures of him in the England kit?

We just accept it, turn up in numbers beyond belief and yes Boro are a good team obviously. Yes their players off the bench would walk into our team, but why are we in this situation. Letting some little twerp polish his portfolio buying sh*tters from the bank arse of nowhere on our watch whilst we all pay fortunes, battling trains and shit transport links traipsing all around the country.

Yeah, the plebs can do that, don't mind us doing that, keep spending the doe so people sit on 6-figures can decide what we should/shouldn't know.

But we'll just keep being told by the kids on Twitter that Tylon Smith, Kealey Adamson, Esquerdinha and Daniel Bennie are actually all really good and they've got an inform FUT card to prove it, us gammons wouldn't get it.

They will probably give Stephan the bullet, as I said on another thread, the guys not a moron. He probably forgotten more about football than we'd ever know. Whatever you think you know or see, he does 10x over, but they'll need to do something to show proactiveness.

We're not some f*cking toy for you to use before your next gig leaving us in the shit, showing how you used AI to identify players in counties where football was a second tier popularity sport as you sit as Director of Football Strategy as Strasbourg. Whatever misconceptions we fans may have about if we're a Premier League team in waiting or a League 1 team in waiting, we are a club with heritage and a rich history. A staple of English football with some of the most majestic players the country and game has seen. This dross has been going on for years and it isn't good enough.

But f*ck this for a laugh, this is a shambles from top to bottom.

Genuinely asking. Where is Stainrod_Elbow? Thought he would be all over this. I don't particularly like the way he conducts himself but hope nothing bad has happened since I had my little break from the forum.

I thought we were totally outclassed today. If Boro can play like that next season, they could well finish halfway up the PL.

I'd like to say we hardly.made a tackle but the truth is we rarely got close enough. Perhaps the 1st should have been disallowed- for handball or offside or both. Mbengue's positioning for no 2 was poor. Again! 3 was a class finish. And ,hopefully Smith will learn from the penalty.
But, top and bottom, we are having to play too many players who are struggling/not good enough to cover for all the injured.

You get away with it sometimes. But not often.

i think he has been put on gardening leave.

he was told many times to stop insulting others constantly if they dont agree with him and i think maybe he has been told he is not in the squad for a period of time.

that's my assumption, but think it was neccessary tbf, if i am right.

Either that or he is banging down Christian's office door and putting in his job application for the new CEO !!!

Boro are a very good side by our league’s standards but I don’t think today is any indication of whether they’ll go up at all or how they would get on in the best league in the world (TM). We’d have made Oxford look similarly good today.

Ok, here goes off of my long run up.

Stéphan has been dealt a rough hand and this has all unravelled mainly due to the lack of any physical fitness and conditioning and injuries mounting up way beyond what a squad like ours can cope with .
Nourry, Williams, etc are con men in my eyes and I want them gone .
Some won’t agree , but there you go. Thats how I feel this evening.

But Stéphan isn’t helping himself now .
What was it about our previous recent games , especially without Madsen , but even with , did JS see that he thought we could cope with being outnumbered by Middlesbroughs midfield?
I agreed and liked a post earlier in this thread that said “it’s not on the manager”. As I say , he’s in a tough situation …but he’s now either thrown in the towel or has now completely lost the plot .
To have any chance with this threadbare team we had to match up man for msn in midfield.
Varane and Hayden were dogs*it, but they were always going to be as they were completely over run.
Other questions
- did we need 5 defenders and gk on the bench?
You telling me there isn’t a forward in any dev team that we can turn too ?
- and with that in mind, whilst losing the game , JS subbed 3 of the back 4 whilst leaving Kolli on the sideline . Now Kolli is no Rodney f*cking Marsh but come on !! We are losing the match!
If I was Kolli I’d have thrown my shirt at him and walked .
- talking of subs . Why is Steve Cook on the bench ? Didn’t warm up once .
If he isn’t fit or don’t going to play put someone on the bench who bloody can .
- talking of more subs, the only player giving Boro any real problems was Mbengue …so you take him off??
- also took off RND. Why? He ain’t played for bloody 2 weeks !
- and lastly , that double sub at the end bringing on Tylon Smith stank to high heaven of another tick on Nourry’s CV .
You bring the kid on for his league debut in a game we are being run ragged . He gives away a pen after 2 mins and that’s his confidence now in the bin along with Esquerdinha’s .
Farcical stuff . A lot of that is on Stéphan unfortunately.
I don’t want head coaches sacked . I just want him to adapt, be flexible and do his bloody job!

Lastly we had 2 meaningful attacks around the hour mark . Both down the right with Mbengue with most of the team piling forward .
Obviously came to nothing but those 2 attacks rendered us complete baggage . All of them absolutely shattered . Toast!
Utterly embarrassing that our fitness levels should be that bad .

When boro took off Hackney and Mcgree towards the end I nearly stood and applauded. Like lions playing with their wounded prey .

This can’t carry on the way it is .
There is a mentality issue now within the club and around the head coach (complaining about 3 game weeks …been 3 game weeks in this country for 50 years or more ) and certainly around the players .
They looked lifeless in the warm up ….oh god that f*cking warm up routine!!!! ….body language was so poor . Looked beaten before a ball was kicked .
Big, big problems .
Good job Some of our ‘sellable assets’ played well for live tv anyway ! 😩

"Utterly embarrassing that our fitness levels should be that bad."

Indeed. Whoever is responsible for their fitness levels should be gone tomorrow. These are highly paid professional sportsmen who this season have performed like amateurs in terms of fitness.

Won't happen of course while we have ChatGPNourry at the helm.

Wouldn't be lovely for one of our players to actually stand up and lead from the front. Go and smash someone , take a booking but let the opposition know they're in a game. Never seen a squad full of such meek characters.
Anyone, someone.
