They will sack Stephan. We will hire a new manager, Williams will stay. We'll have 15 players injured in January, crumble down to 16th, rinse and repeat.
I've tried to be balanced, but it has to be Williams or Nourry (or both) out in the summer.
Both. And Hoos.

I don't have the appetite for another managerial change. The same problems would still be there with another public face trying to deal with them. Oh well
Edit, wasn't meant to be a reply to any particular post. Just generally

Got to feel for JS. Hung out to dry by Ben Williams.

None of this is on the manager. Nourry is literally hanging him out to dry on live TV. The shenanigans that are obviously going on behind the scenes especially around the conditioning and wellness of the squad is Sunday league level. Literally, from the first game of the season we’ve not been capable of providing the manager with a fully fit squad of players. Season after season the same level of mis-management of the club is allowed take the fans down the gutter. And to think the fans have been packing LR out. Not sure where we go from today but the fans need make life unbearable for the top level management of the club in the same way they’ve taken the utter piss out of us.
Did he pick saito and esquidinho on the same flank in a recent game, did he let field go on loan, is he choosing the formation? We don’t know how much he is told to do.
But if he’s not picking the team or the formation, what should he be doing? Surely he should be ensuring the attitude is right, motivating the team. Players, one of whom has been absolutely dreadful for months, laughing after coming off at 0-4…FFS!
He’s definitely partly responsible or what is he being paid for?

Ends a perfect week for me… England loose the semi finals of the cricket, England get beat by Italy in the rugby for the first time, QPR get tonked by Boro… God I hate sport sometimes

I saw it too, but for me It looked more like RND explaining something to Saito who is doing what he (and most others do) when they don't fully understand a foreign language, smile and nod.
It can be spun however you want after that shit show.
Saito has grin on his face all the time. It's his default.
I'm trying to be level-headed. 'Boro are streets ahead of us with a bigger, monied, fitter squad (as are Sheff Utd and Soton) and at this point of the season it really shows.
Teams like oursleves, Stoke, Preston and Brizzle falling back in late-winter exhaustion - wealthier squads like Blades, Soton, Hollywood FC, 'Boro and Ipswich piling forward. Yes I know about Millwall, but they have built steadily in recent years with a few play-off near misses, unlike us.
Hull I just can't explain, but I suspect they will fall away now too.
For us it's simple - no sht Sherlock we need our players back PDQ. Poku, Chair, Burrell, Obikwu. Get them playing asap (risks might need to be taken, Julien/whoever) and mid-table can be achieved. Fail to, and we have to start checking in on Oxford, Baggies, Pompey and Leicester. Anything south of 51pts will certainly not be enough.

I don’t doubt that he has to take some responsibility. You can’t deny that at any point this season he has had (or close to it) a fully fit squad. The conditioning of the players has been an issue for almost 24 months.

Very generous on Saito that, I would suggest. It did look like RND was having a go at him, but if you are right that is what it was I think the club should make Saito come out with an explanation. Any other club would, although it probably wouldn't happen elsewhere in the first place.
Small things matter. Boswinga laughing when we were relegated, Cisse going nuts when scoring at 6-0 down, dirty windows in the exec box behind Ainsworth's major end of season interview - it's the small things that reveal what is accepted within, in my opinion. Does anyone actually care?
So tackle it, get it sorted, deal with it.

I gave my opinion after the Saints debacle so no point in repeating it all again even though this was a repeat non performance. Once again go two down and time to give up. Having lost 4-1 at home to Boro last season we might have learnt something if we still had Marti but changing the manager and the players shows no improvement. We have no B team so it is crucial we keep players fit which seems beyond us.
We could win 3-0 at Boro with Warnock but now we look non league when we face them. Boro don't have parachute payments, like Coventry, but they build good squads while we continue our doom loop of returning back to where we started near the bottom as another season fizzles out.

Pantene out of ten for conditioning, because we are worth it.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Funnily enough listening to Neil Warnock and Jobi McAnuff talking about our players today showing a lack of fight and passion I remembered Gary Neville accusing our players of the same after a 2-0 defeat at West Ham during the 2014/15 season.
He said ; “If you haven’t got players willing to work hard, you’ve got nothing, with the best will in the world, these are goodish players and they have to put a real stint in for their manager.
These players have a duty to their manager, a duty to the club and a duty to the supporters to give them more than they’ve given them today.”
Frightening really how stagnate we are as a professional football club.

I didn't expect a win and it looked like neither did the players, which is more to the point. I know we've lost key players to injury (and a frankly baffling loan) but Boro aren't world beaters, before today they'd only scored 8 more than us all season.
I've got no answers for our perpetual malaise, no magic wand to undo what feels like a loop of poor decisions, performances and direction that I fancy won't end until relegation puts us out of our misery.

Sure, cycling Ben has to go. That was evident as soon as we knew we’d be sacking off the first ten fixtures so that we’d hit peak fitness in may, or hiding behind the great availability of the under 10s team, or the 100 non-contact injuries… But you did say none of this is on the manager and I disagree. If he isn’t allowed to make a single meaningful decision, he is at least (only?) responsible for the team mentality, surely?

Have so much time for the fans that are on here looking to be level-headed and approach things with calmness and logic but that was a p*ss take out there today.
They were never up for it from the first whistle, we made Boro look like the Dutch side of the 80s. Absolute f*cking dross. No fight, no desire, nothing and we just turn up, in the thousands paying out extortionate amounts in a cost of living crisis. Watching RND get torn a new arseh0le by Morgan Whittaker - yeah cheers. Season ticket early bird offer out soon is it?
We just accept it. We have a fans forum, we're treated like plebs being told about our favourite player not playing at the weekend. We get ChatGPT-esque quotes on an U23 player leaving. We're not allowed to know about injuries or contracts or how much we're spending on players. No, thats not for us mere mortals, only the footballing men can know that.
The arse of the squad has fallen out, your arguably fielding a League One team against a side gunning for promotion because again, you've f*cked the conditioning of the players.
PLOT TWIST, EVERYONE IN THE INDUSTRY CAN FIND OUT, IT'S ONLY THE FANS THAT ARE LOSING OUT.
We have a decent continental manager come in, turns the ship around after Ainsworth debacle, does well, his whole squad blows up, he starts to get prickly and is replace. We have another decent continental manager come in, does well, his whole squad is blown up he starts to get prickly... and on it goes.
The plebs being told that we're signing players using data and stats, looking at 'profiles' that are regularly sold into the Premier League, you'd never get it.... oh but here comes your favourite pint-sized, one-paced Japanese winger (that famous profile) and your QPR supporting 5'10 centre half with no pace that both happen to be super popular. There goes £6m but doesn't matter, look at that hair and have you seen the pictures of him in the England kit?
We just accept it, turn up in numbers beyond belief and yes Boro are a good team obviously. Yes their players off the bench would walk into our team, but why are we in this situation. Letting some little twerp polish his portfolio buying sh*tters from the bank arse of nowhere on our watch whilst we all pay fortunes, battling trains and shit transport links traipsing all around the country.
Yeah, the plebs can do that, don't mind us doing that, keep spending the doe so people sit on 6-figures can decide what we should/shouldn't know.
But we'll just keep being told by the kids on Twitter that Tylon Smith, Kealey Adamson, Esquerdinha and Daniel Bennie are actually all really good and they've got an inform FUT card to prove it, us gammons wouldn't get it.
They will probably give Stephan the bullet, as I said on another thread, the guys not a moron. He probably forgotten more about football than we'd ever know. Whatever you think you know or see, he does 10x over, but they'll need to do something to show proactiveness.
We're not some f*cking toy for you to use before your next gig leaving us in the shit, showing how you used AI to identify players in counties where football was a second tier popularity sport as you sit as Director of Football Strategy as Strasbourg. Whatever misconceptions we fans may have about if we're a Premier League team in waiting or a League 1 team in waiting, we are a club with heritage and a rich history. A staple of English football with some of the most majestic players the country and game has seen. This dross has been going on for years and it isn't good enough.
But f*ck this for a laugh, this is a shambles from top to bottom.

At 1-0 we were in the game but Stephan did what he always does, sat on his hands until they'd scored their second. We'd probably still have lost but it sums him up. Just a nothing kind of manager - he hasn't improved young players (arguably some have regressed), the style of football is awful (boot it up to Kone) and he is shocking at in-game management. I can't see him lasting much longer but obviously the main problems are above him.

I'm going to defend JS.
Did you see the bench today? There is nothing to change the game with. As for the style of football. That is on Noury and not on JS, for two reasons. Firstly, Ben Wiliams which has been discussed on other threads. If you can't put your best players out then your stuffed. Secondly, with that CM (put together by Noury) is a joke. This all goes back to the summer. Undercooked and unconditioned players and money wasted on Saito rather than buying a central midfield that can pass a ball.
If I was JS I'd walk. And tell them to fck off as I turned the light off.
