My uncle's brother tells me draught Bass is on tap again in some pubs in the midlands. I've not seen it doon sooth but I found out Tesco have it in bottles at…..£1 a pint ! Only 3.4% but quaffable, earthy taste and fine before moving on to a beer with a bit more wallop.

You must be mixing him up with me. As for draught Bass, had a monumental session in the Fishguard Arms while walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path a few years ago. Worth a visit if you’re in that neck of the woods.
I had a very nice pint of it in the St George’s Tavern in Victoria about a month ago, but it had disappeared by my last visit. It’s out there somewhere.
Used to lap it up in The Globe in Borough Market 30 years ago.

Taking of beers from a bygone era, I was recently in the Builders Arms Chelsea where they do offer a peculiar variety of beers but was amazed to see Double Diamond on tap.
I believe its still brewed in Burton upon Trent. No surprise that it's widely available in the Midlands. Elsewhere, not so much.

I had a pint of Allsopps Bitter in the Wilton Arms in Kinnerton Street, behind Knightsbridge, on Friday. Nice enough, but I was surprised by the red hand badge on the tap, that I remember from Ind Coope. https://www.allsopps.com Sure enough, they brew Double Diamond too.
I had a pint of it in a pub in the peak district a few months ago, it was decent about 7/10.
They always have it on in the Express Tavern by Kew Bridge station. There’s even a big neon sign saying ‘Draught Bass’ on the roof.
Was chatting with the landlord of the Express a few years back and they were one year away from serving Bass on draught for 100 years. Maybe even the first pub in London to serve it though I’m not 100% on that.
Edit:An online search says Draught Bass was introduced in 1921. I must have been chatting with the landlord early 2020 before Covid. Sadly they wouldn’t have had a chance to celebrate the anniversary much in 2021.
