I'm assuming this story has credibility because otherwise we'd be shouting our innocence from the rooftops by now - it wouldn't take long to talk to the first team analyst. If it does turn out to be true it's very shoddy because a) we are exposed to a charge which will carry quite major consequences if we are found guilty and b) it is an unwelcome distraction in our preparation for two crucial games.
Fans may try to play this down and claim it is mind games on the part of Boro but it is unlikely they'd have made the official complaint unless they were very sure they have a case.
My guess is that nothing good will come out of this for us and Boro will use it as another way to motivate their players and fans.
I guess we could claim the guy was acting without club authority and sack him - might be the least painful option but the whole thing is a mess. |

I have read that the complaint holds, because CCTV identifies the guy as a club analyst. I can't believe we are that stupid to send someone who can be easily identified as a club representative. It's like Putin himself, hiding in the bushes in Salsbury, and then saying it has nothing to with Russia.

Fair enough though I doubt the players mindset will be effected as you suggest. Eckert has built a strong mentality in the squad. At the end of the day, "Spygate" or not, there are two very important games of football to be played. That is what I think and hope the players will be thinking, and what fans should be thinking too.
Worrying about this whole thing is pointless. Just focus on those two games when they come | |

The trouble is Saints have broken the rules in order to gain an unfair advantage over Boro – however minor. That can't be undone. A punishment that hurts Saints (fine or EFL points deduction) without giving any advantage to Boro in the play-offs may not be enough.

In most cases ( exceptions being The Crown Estate and Defence Establishment as examples) Section 33 of the 1972 Criminal Justice Act allows public access to private land up and until the point when that right is withdrawn by the owner of the land.
If indeed there is any substance in the allegations ( and currently it’s a big if ) the suggestion is that the person was asked to leave and he/she did so, there by complying with their obligations under the law.
Regarding taking photographs and visual recordings, P I N A C applies. Photography Is Not A Crime.
