Agree, totally unnecessary bed wetting already.
Trust the process, Tonda knows what he is doing. Everything he said after the game including the THB situation is spot on. We aren't going to be unbeatable at the start of the season, new players and need to get into our rhythm. Hopefully Jander will be back soon as he is a fantastic part of the jigsaw.
If THB goes, we will replace. He isn't the first player to leave Southampton and won't be the last.

I really dislike the term "bedwetter"
It's understandable to be concerned after 2 key players leaving, more than likely a 3rd in the next few days and wondering who's going to replace them. SR's recruitment has at times been questionable to say the least
Having said that, the constant negativity is rather tiresome, it was noticeable how quiet it was here last night after our first win of the season. Also the hand wringing after we've missed out on signing some random player that most of us have never heard of a few days before can be rather strange
Strap yourself in for a bumpy ride for the next few days until the transfer window closes, I've no doubt there will be plenty of stories about Saints players leaving, most of which will be complete b*llocks with no substance.
I have faith that the club will bring in as good replacements as they can afford and also convince to come and play for a championship club with a somewhat tarnished reputation right now. If you don't have faith and optimism, whats left and why bother putting yourself through some much angst anymore? |  |

There was an over reaction to a poor 45 minutes at Watford, but I was detecting that there was a downward mood amongst the fan base last week with stories of players leaving. I think had we not won on Saturday the mood would have been of one of virtual meltdown amongst some of our fanbase.
That said, it was a good and necessary win on Saturday. I was there and I have to say though, for the most part our performance was poor until towards the end. We had plenty of possession in the 2nd half but offered little real threat. The goal by Larin was excellent but I expected us to push on and overwhelm what was in truth a very poor Stoke City, yet we made heavy weather of it. We are lacking in midfield and offering little bite apart from Downes who got his customary yellow card because he was the only one willing to put a tackle in. On that performance (despite the win) we will struggle against a good Millwall side. But, a win is a win and this may kick us on and I do have faith in Tonde. I just hope we have a good closing transfer window as we need some quality strength particularly if THB moves on and at the moment we are looking flaky in midfield. | | | |

The thing is every team in the division is buying and losing players so we're all in the same position.
It's going to be a tougher start for us than anyone in the division because we’re bound to be flat after losing our chance to play in the PL this season, we have the pressure of starting 4 points behind everyone, we’re going to be public enemy number one and we're still waiting for the idiots at the FA to come to some sort of decision on Tonda 16 weeks after we were caught spying.
Although I'm not keen on the term bed wetters it seems the most appropriate way to describe people who were getting their knickers in a twist about our season after only one game. | | | |

Does it not worry you at all that a team that beat Arsenal and didn't lose in 25 games, suddenly loses 2 in 3, look all over the place, arn't motivated like they were, the defence suddenly looks a shambles, our best defender who is still our player can't play and is about to leave. We have just had a massive scandal. Do you not worry it's possible that this cloud has / is affecting the club? You can't just pretend everything is fine when it isn't. People have eyes and can see the mess on the pitch. It's not just a few defeats. It's the manner of them and the sudden change in the attitude of the players that is worrying. People who care about this club arn't always smiley and happy. They are entitled to worry, to feel angry when we get thrashed on our own pitch. I care deeply about my children, but I am not always smiley and happy with them if they do wrong. Support isn't just about saying well done come what may, if it isn't deserved. It was a terrible perfprmance tonight, tell the truth and tell it how it how it is. Millwall is a big game Saturday. They are a really good side in this league. It's still early days, but I sense something isn't right. Watford was very disappointing. Stoke, ok we got the win and I was delighted but we only just won it and Stoke are very poor. Tonight is only the cup. I don't care about the cup, but getting thrashed and the manner of the performance is worrying. It's very possible that there is a hangover from last season. These players worked so hard, incredibly hard to get to the final and now they have to do it all again and Saints are weaker than last season, which makes it even harder. Without Jander, Harwood- Bellis, Charles, Stewart and a dodgy Jack Stephens as our main defender all feels disheartening. Big game Saturday. A win will feel.huge. A defeat will confirm.that something is definitely wrong I think. | |

Do they expect us to continue undefeated? Did anyone seriously think that no-one from the PL was going to bid for THB? Every single team in the Championship who had players performing at a top level last season will be at risk of losing them this season. That's football.

I've said before there is scar tissue from last season just like there was when Tonda took over from Still. But I can't help but reiterate we are only two games into the season and we've won one and lost one. Spot on, you’re absolutely right it’s NOT just a few defeats. It’s one narrow defeat against Watford away in the league and a home loss against the team that is a cast iron cert for top of the league – or are you writing them off too because they’ve taken 1 point from two league games?

Do you think they will all be there in a month’s time?
