That’s what I thought, DD was supposedly off to St.Louis City on loan but it appears that he remains a resident of Southampton Donkey Sanctuary.
As for Jander, when asked at a recent press conference Tonda said that his injury was not responding to treatment at the rate that type of injury normally does. This means the return date originally forecast was wide of the mark and it is not something that could have been foreseen. Sounds like they won’t be rushing him back.

The club was keen to get Peretz on a permanent deal so probably had to give him assurances that he would be first choice keeper, which is what Tonda is referring to. But if he goes through a period of poor form then he should be professional enough to know there's a great keeper waiting in the wings | |

Absolutely, whilst I like Perez a lot, he has had an average start this season and as things stand he is (too?) safe in the knowledge that he is first choice. Unless we are committed to appearance payments for Ramsdale, it would seem daft not to promote him to first choice should Peretz’s form not improved. That said, in terms of the shaky start, his kicking and distribution has never been the best, he’s flapped with a couple of crosses and possibly let a goal in at Watford that he could’ve done better with. Not sure if this constitutes a crisis of form. He has plenty of credit for now. | | | |

Ramsdale is odd our only hope is that Saudi come in and buy him otherwise we are stuck paying his 50% salary which must have kicked in now but its still 60k a week not to play utter madness .

I'd expect Long to be on the bench but if Peretz was seriously injured then, just like McCarthy after Bazunu was injured, Ramsdale will step in. It's an expensive insurance policy for SR and Solak but not bad situation for Saints as Long couldn't really be viewed as a replacement for Peretz over any length of time. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Ramsdale was helping Lallana with the U21s. | | | |

My view on this.
Having Ramsdale floating around has made Peretz insecure of his place in the team.
This is why so far we haven’t seen the same as last season from him.

Flynn DOWNES is a midfielder and very much part of our current squad.
Damion DOWNS is a 'striker' that we have loaned out to St Louis City.
Up front we are relying on the fitness of Larin, at least until January. It was great the way we interchanged Larin and Stewart last season, but so far, Mubama is still getting to know his team mates and our style of play. I suppose we could also play Dobbin up top and maybe Princewill as well.
We are stuck with Ramsdale. He will probably continue to be the U21 Keeper, once he returns from Paternity Leave, unless someone comes in for him from a country that still has their window open - but with a new born, I doubt he and his family will be up for a foreign move. He is a talent and definitely needs to be involved, even if it is to put him in the shop window for January.
I saw somewhere in the last week or so of the window, that we were looking to sell Roerslev. Not sure if that was before or after Sugawara went out on loan, but either way, I'm not convinced he has the manager's backing and maybe Will Still will sign him in January !! |  |

Alfie House quoted in his recent article that Rambo had a relegation clause in his contract and his wages are greatly reduced, so the club are able to 'manage' his return to the squad.
He's probably on £60k a week. Still a lotta dough, but manageable for now. | |
