A good manager picks his best team for performance ,if he wants a successful season ,not stubbornly picking his favourite players regardless .We’ve seen too much of that in the past with Cullen
Lissah and Welsh are by far our best CB pairing,quick and good with the ball
I know FB is a weak area area for us defensively but if we get Key and Tymon closer to their wingers ,it will stop the ball being played to them in the first place which would be a big plus
We have to be sharper today and Please ,stop trying to walk the ball in and have more shots ,that’s how you win games | | | |

Hard to tell, as the Southampton attack is way ahead of what we've faced so far. Derby (6), Watford (6), Wrexham (7), Sheff Utd (8) and Derby (9) are not prolific scorers. Southampton with 14 goals are way ahead of these impotent attacks. Burnley (7) are among the poorer teams, so I expect a clean sheet today, no matter who starts. | | | |

I don't like to single players out, but again why not go with what worked with Lissah and Key and have Cabango benched. Everyone clearly can see what Matos cannot see. I am still convinced Burgess would be in the startint lineup if he wasn't injured. [Post edited 12 Sep 13:54]

Cabango a shoe-in by the looks of it which could be Matos; downfall eventually. Pick your best team to start at home. Cabango isn’t one of them. There’s a week between this and the next game and then 3 weeks rest for some of them.

I agree it didn’t help the Swans conceding more goals in one half than all season on Tuesday.
My main concern with him is his sluggish decision making on the ball and not seeing obvious passes in front of him.
Can’t see Just in any other role than behind Idah.

It’s not hate I can assure you. But do I rate him as good enough a CH for this team then no, I don’t. I said last season that if we want to go anywhere upwards, we are not going to do it with Cabango or Burgess. One has been replaced because we had no choice and to me that’s a blessing in disguise. I like Cabango and he offers something to us. A decent championship player. But he slows the play down. Him and Burgess practically walked through glue. Lissah and Welsh added something we wanted for years. Does Cabango addition to the squad guarantees now we will start losing? No. But other than seeing the players day in day out which we do not see and far more valuable than anyone of us, I still have to argue why he thinks of breaking up a winbing formula. Most managers will not drop their captain even if the form suggests otherwise.
It is a shame because Lissah and Welsh seemed to have a good understanding and they can move the ball quickly which is part of the product the high press needs.
Just hope it doesn't knock Lissah's faith as he has shown such quality. |  |

It's almost these Managers like playing with fire 🔥😂. Win today he is a genius, lose and the knives are out again. I'm not even sure Matos knows to play it safe or not. He over played safe At Southampton with his selection though. No manager is gonna be liked by all fans and in no way am I calling for his head..
