Its not a dig at kone. More a criticism of JS who seems to refuse to use obikwu even when kone is woefully put of sorts. Kone should be taken out of the first team picture for at least a month. Make him get himself sorted, play and hopefully score goals for the dev squad and then come back. At the moment we are persisting with playing him and it isn't helping us or him. | | | |

He almost had his leg snapped in half in a development game last month by some up and coming thug in a Bolton shirt.Should we really put him through that again?Maybe a complete rest would be better for his recovery. |  | | |

Think we can agree that tackle was and hopefully will be a ohe off. The only way kone will get back to his best is if he is playing 90 mins and more importantly scoring goals. Strikers love scoring more than anything. He ain't going to find that just training against Morrison or some kid from the academy. Get him playing in the dev/reserves etc and get him scoring. Then give him kins with the first team. Unfortunately due to burrell and possibly Lloyd being injured we probably have no choice other than involve kone every week now. | | | |

I hope we absolutely complained about that. The Bolton team were obviously told to go in hard as that wasn’t the only incident where the aggression was unnecessary. It’s crazy for a DS match. How the guy didn’t get a red card I have no idea. Pathetic refereeing.
As for Obikwu we don’t know why he’s not being picked. Maybe he just isn’t good enough. It happens. |  | | |

Such is my lack of confidence in our medical department, that I am worried about us rushing him back before he is ready. I am sure they know better and if they say he is ready to be involved with the first team on Saturday, then fine. But, that nagging suspicion that they don't really know what they are doing is still there. I worry we'll just lose him again, same as happened with Poku about 4 times last season. |  |

It seemed the Obikwu transfer was just ‘one for the future’, never really understood why the expectations are to see him play and make a big difference when he was struggling to get in a League one side and scored very few goals. For me it was only ever a gamble on a player we could develop.

He was and he got injured in his first training session. Must have been an injury like an ACL because he has played the mighty sum of 10 mins at Charlton away. He has never scored a goal for us, let alone played on the hallowed turf of Loftus Rd. Jude the Cat has been on the pitch more than him in the last year. | | | |
