Just wondering at what point would fans get "excited" about a run in the cup. As someone that is of an age when the FA cup held a kind of magic I would live a cup run. Yes the league is where all the money is etc but its not like we will ever see any of it. I fancied us for a cup run at the beginning of the season.
But I also fancied us for a comfortable mid table finish.
We all know that we are capable of beating most teams and with the renewed belief in the squad anything is possible.
Would I swap the cup draw and win against WBA for our two defeats in the league - at the moment yes.
Fingers crossed that the good form continues and we reach safety and Wembley.

It certainly means nothing like it used too.The streets used to be deserted on Cup Final day.Now teams play their second string teams all the way to the final.
But it would still be a huge buzz and a superb day out if we got to Wembley.. | |
