From Burton. Bid accepted according to a thread on Facebook.

I know nothing about the lad, but apparently can play centre back, right back and midfield.

We'll probably play him up front

Let's be honest, Facebook and Twitter are where most people get their news from these days.

Including the most powerful man on earth

Why would it be on the Barnsley website if he's a Burton player

Have you stated your cheese yet?

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

But is it Tom Naylor?

Or is it Tom Bradshaw from Barnsley who is the intended target?

I don't really believe either is correct, but wouldn't Bradshaw make more sense?

Perhaps it is both until observation of either collapses the waveform.

Barnsley would want a couple of million for Bradshaw, if not more.

Naylor is out of contract in the summer so this sounds like our sort of target.

centre back in't he?

doesn't feel like a particularly whelming signing if true, but our entire current back 3 - Baptiste, Onouha and Robbo - are out of contract in the summer, so it makes some sense. Suspect Ned will be off.

Bare bones.

last two burton matches he's played centre mid. Haven't checked further back than that.

Originally a RB/CB....I think he's a bit like Hall and has pushed up into a DM role.

I don't doubt it & I'm sure we haven't enquired, but I did see somewhere (can't remember where or by whom) that it was Bradshaw & not Naylor we were after.

I'm expecting that neither will become our player.

I think we will re sign Baptiste and I cannot see many takers for Robinson so I could see him signing on a reduced contract
Ned will be off and isn't Perch's deal up the end of the year (please god )

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

There's more entanglement there than the rumour generator in our boardroom.

Why would you think Ned will be off? He is well loved within the club, respected by his team mates and, if true, he already took a pay cut to remain at QPR. I think he is an asset to the club and a good mentor for those looking to replace him.

Agree, just suspect we can't afford what he's currently on, and doubt he'd take anopther pay cut. Am sure the club would love to keep him. I would. But a bottom half prem club could take him as a squad man and probably pay him double what he's on now, plus signing on fee.

Bare bones.

Be shocked if a prem team takes him, he's a good Championship CB with lots of experience, etc but nothing more than that, especially given his age. Like you though I do expect him to go as despite taking a cut last time he will be one of our top earners and I'd imagine he'd get better terms elsewhere.

Why not many takers for Robinson? He's shown he's past his injury problems, is a good age, has strong pedigree, can play more than one position, has a long throw... As a free transfer he looks an absolute steal for someone in the upper half of this division.

Robinson leaving for free would really miff me.

I appreciate we are talking about blokes careers, they are "short" and all that old blather. But come on... he's been on blinding money for about 4 years with us and for one of those was on loan, for two he was basically crocked. We got him right and he looks to be getting better with each games --- and that's from someone who was a fierce critic of him when he was switch to CB early this season. So my point is - where is the payback from him for us getting him back to good playing levels and getting his game per £ level up????

Football - madness - isn't it? Mmmmmm?

I was totally underwhelmed when we signed Baptiste...In our crisis at the back...he has been a solid signing.
Although Smyth had a good report on him when we signed him from Linfield, I remember a lot of talk on..more wasted money.

It's nice sometimes to be underwhelmed and wrong

As for this Naylor fella I'm sure I saw him score versus the Champions of Europe on a Sky game over Crimble?????

They said on comms he'd been out injured for a long time and on his return was being used to shore up the midfield and had weighed in with 2 goals in 5 appearances.
Ginger fella (strawberry blonde should we sign him) who looked steady but nothing spectacular.
IF he signs then welcome to the circus and I wish him every success.

Perch the RB, I would happily let leave.

Perch the CB is an asset - its not his fault he hasn't been played there...

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it
