Not sure which came first, John Spencer perfect hatrick against I can't remember who or Michael Beck in the 5-0 against Middlesbrough. Think it was probably Spencer.
Must have seen a Ferdinand hatrick at Loftus Road but can't remember to be honest.

I think he did. Or maybe he scored one against us. He definitely had a short loan spell with us.

No he didn't. The 5-0 Middlesbrough game referred to above was a couple of seasons before he came on loan to us and the scorers that night were Bruce, OG, Gallen and Sheron with a brace.

One of the two games, Sunderland away later the same season the other, where Sheron looked like the striker we'd shelled out all that money for.

Beck didnt score a hattrick with us, although he did get a few goals in that short spell.

He was with us in 99/00, the 5-0 against Middlesbrough was 97/98 and a quick Google search suggests no-one got a hattrick in that game.

I must have been confusing Beck with Sheron. I knew we had a striker who looked good in that game. Surprised to hear it was Sheron. I'm always impressed by how much some people are able to remember.

Against Barnsley in the league (the season Barnsley got promoted) a couple of weeks before we played them in the cup (the Trev wonder goal game).

Beck did actually play for Boro that day if it helps, might be lodged somewhere in your memory that he did play that day!

Should add, I didnt actually remember that, I just remembered he played for Boro before us and I looked it up. Nigel Pearson also played for Boro that day
