Man Utd fans v Ronaldo !! 18:17 - Nov 20 with 2321 views | numptydumpty | After Cristiano interview with Piers Morgan, noted there are so many disillusioned man utd fans with "CR7" .. Can understand Ronaldo and his attitude towards Man Utd and the guy has experienced a sad loss in his family life. Would say he forever the professional but the ego clearly troubling for a bog standard manager... Clearly be leaving Utd. Where could he be accommodated.. And for him be critcised by man utd fans, think that's rather poor !! [Post edited 20 Nov 2022 18:19]

Man Utd fans v Ronaldo !! on 18:34 - Nov 20 with 2236 views | traininvain | Ronaldo’s been completely unprofessional this season- publicly trying to force a move over the summer, leaving games early, refusing to come on as a sub, pretending to be ill ahead of the World Cup to avoid getting injured, publicly confirming that he has no respect for the manager etc. I’d say Man Utd fans have every right to be more than disillusioned with him given his behaviour on and off the pitch. Irrespective of whether he’s right about the owners and the club, that’s not a professional way to behave and it’s not the first time he’s forced his way out of the club. And no player is bigger than a football club. Where will he end up next? Well none of the major clubs wanted him over the summer and I doubt his stock has gone up given his performances on (2 goals in 16 odd games) and off the pitch this season. Maybe MLS or the middle east?

Totally agree Pathetic and disrespectful to Ronaldo Since Ferguson has left, their club has been an embarrassment but the fans have been even worse..

Man Utd fans v Ronaldo !! on 18:37 - Nov 20 with 2225 views | aston_hoop | The problem he'll have now is finding someone willing to pay him £500k a week knowing at this stage in his career, he completely believes he is above everyone else in the game. Middle East feels like the only place he'll get silly money. I'm not sure any coach at any top club would take a risk on squad harmony given his comments.

He hasn't pretended to be ill. One of his children passed away and another has been seriously unwell.

The last two games before the World Cup he made himself unavailable for selection due to illness. But he was with the Portugal squad soon after the Fulham game. It’s obvious what he was up to but unsurprising given that he refused to come off the bench earlier in the season. Put it this way, would you accept a QPR player refusing to play and publicly criticising the manager? What we’re watching is a footballer very publicly struggling to come to terms with age catching up with him. His performances this season have been very poor.

Man Utd fans v Ronaldo !! on 19:07 - Nov 20 with 2154 views | traininvain | It’s actually quite impressive the way he’s managed to completely torch his relationship with Man Utd fans over the last six months or so. Or maybe most the Man Utd fans are wrong and Ronaldo’s right but it seems a bit of a stretch to me. https://theathletic.com/3902617/2022/11/17/cristiano-ronaldo-manchester-united-s ‘The Athletic asked our Manchester United subscribers for their thoughts on Ronaldo following his interview – and the results are a damning indictment on what he said. Over 80 per cent of those surveyed want the club to terminate his contract. Let that sink in for a second. Ronaldo is arguably one of United’s greatest ever players and scored 24 goals last season after an emotional return to Old Trafford – but some supporters have had enough. More than 90 per cent believe he is unable to justify “feeling betrayed” by United, a similar number think Ten Hag has not treated the forward unfairly, and 88 per cent do not want him to add to his 341 United appearances.’ | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I can't think of anything less interesting to listen to or watch, other than some stupid programme featuring the Redknapps! Refusing to go on the pitch as a substitute & refusing to be a substitute is very much a no go with football fans. Bosingwa wasn't really disliked at Rangers until after he said no to Harold. And Harold rewarded him by selecting him for the next game! Ronaldo has been a disrupting influence throughout his career & has always regarded himself as more important than his club.

They were quite interesting, watched both of them, Basically they don't think he's as good as he used to be so the club and the fans are happy to bin him off but he wants to play. the refusing to come on he had a point about, they wanted him to come on when 2-0 up with 3 minutes to go, he saw it as an insult. He's clearly done it to get a move but does feel like the club have forced his hand a little in not letting him go in the summer. The bit about the club throwing him under the bus saying he refused to come back for pre season when he'd told them he wouldn't be back due to his daughter being ill felt piss poor from Man Utd.

He has over 450 million instagram followers , the team were not playing great , the exposure both parties got from the deal worked for both at the time . They now need to manage his exit .

‘ the refusing to come on he had a point about, they wanted him to come on when 2-0 up with 3 minutes to go, he saw it as an insult.’ Yet he was made captain a few games later and has again thrown his toys out the pram. I still don’t understand how being paid £500k per week and asked to play the last few mins of a game is an insult. His form has been very poor this season so he can hardly expect to be starting every week and he’s been given plenty of opportunities. And the club didn’t stop him leaving during the summer. None of the big clubs capable of paying his wages wanted him. Quite a big difference. Compare this with Messi who is quietly having one of his best seasons in years for both club and country after being forced to leave the club he loved. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how Ronaldo and Messi perform at the World Cup.

He's no saint but Man Utd are not innocent in this either. Some of what he said i thought he was deluded but he had a point on some of the issues at Man Utd. I'd agree Messi has handled the last few years a lot better than Ronaldo though

But Dave, didn't Messi publicly break down in tears because he couldn't stay at his beloved Barcelona when the main thing preventing him from staying was actually his own astronomical wage demands? Both of them are insanely rich, they both fell into a trap of their own devising.

I think there was a bit more to it than that with Messi. I think he offered to play for free or on vastly reduced salary as by this point money was of no issue for him but there was something in Spanish law that prevented it.

https://www.timesnownews.com/amp/sports/football/article/explained-why-lionel-me Messi offered to half his wages in order to stay at Barcelona. The reality is that Spanish employment law wouldn’t have allowed him to do so.

Yes, Barca had a wage cap and couldn't have re-signed him even on zero wages. Haven't followed Ronaldo's career since Der Spiegel printed his original statement on the rape accusations. And they printed them before Man Utd decided to re-employ him, so I have no sympathy ofr them or for him.
