Last night it was 12 degrees and half our team were wearing gloves. Not one Luton player had a pair on. You could see with this our players were not up for it last night. You’d never see the likes of Alan McDonald etc with gloves on. Just sets the wrong tone. One thing we are massively lacking is leadership in this team. Johansen always makes us tick and him being injured has definitely been a reason why our form has dropped at an alarming rate.

He might be, but it's not really working, is it?
If Franz Beckenbauer was captain it wouldn't make any difference to our performances of late. To lay any blame on Field's captaincy is just a nonsense.

Where was I blaming Field for anything specifically? Just implying that hard work is a minimnum requirement, and he was hardly effectual the other night, like pretty much the lot of them.
The problem for me is not the wearing of gloves, it's the type of gloves used. Surely we would be far better off if the players adopted from a selection of glove puppets. These could range from a simple Harry Corbett Sooty or Sweep right the way through to Rod Hull's Emu. Not only would they keep their delicate hands warm, but also offer us a much needed alternative form of entertainment! Also - Emu would be a beast at defending set plays.

I’ve fixed it:
Sheffield not getting past these big boys.
Nice one. I actually bought a relative a Captain Kremmen T shirt for Christmas

I really don't think it's an issue. If wearing them removes a distraction and enables them to concentrate better, I'm all for it.

If they could wear boots that helped them hit the target that would help.
Hitting the target? Could the fans at the Loft end in the second half help? I recall seeing, a few years ago, the fans at one end of a ground (in Germany, perhaps?) gathering and pointing to the goal, as an aid to navigation for their strikers. Worth a try?

FC Magdeburg whose fans worryingly wore blue and white hoops while doing it:
