I'm not sure what the hell that 'distillery' opposite the Black Horse (Greenford) will be like, but I think it will rhyme with a 'load of Sherman Tank'.

Bloke used to sing and play piano on a Saturday night there early 80s, think he was called Aussie. Always preferred Black Horse in Oldfield Lane and the Oldfield Tavern with Oscars on Saturday night.

Youtube. There's about 4 of these clips on there from when the BBC filmed him at The Rising Sun, making up the whole show I think. Really captures his energy and how he was able to get the entire pub involved in singing all kinds of songs. Not an easy task in London!

I used to live in Sudbury in '73/'74 and would drink in a pub on the Watford Road. It's no longer there but I think it was on the corner of Stilecroft Gardens where there's now what looks like an empty car showroom. I can't remember its name - does anyone remember it?

Another failing boozer spontaneously combusts. A quick check at companies house site for the owner of the Rising Sun is interesting. Also owns an estate agency. I’m sure there’s absolutely nothing in it mind, just a very unfortunate event.
