Unless you live abroad or are seriously ill there aren't many reasons for non attendance on Saturday.
All my friends are pretty much sorted, and there are plenty of spares floating about.

Important questions, TW.

What other reasons do we think are acceptable? Granny's funeral? What about hating Redknapp?

It's not where I'm drinking (my sofa), it's what and exactly when.

For the game at Hillsborough I didn't open my first Becks until we went 2 up, which seems quite conservative now. Maybe I was feeling cagey because of the year before?

But I still have some superstition about that. I wouldn't wait till we're two up, not with this team, but I'm not going to start necking them an hour beforehand either. Tricky decision.

Sorry not acceptable.
You used the term ' a few days'.
If it was triplets or quads then perhaps.

Hating Redknapp, no, I can't stand him, but QPR come first.

Jap'R, sayonara was the word you should have used to your employers.

Brookers has failed to mention that he has a pre match ritual of chasing the dragon before most games.

We'd have to do a 500 mile round trip,no money, and stay with someone we can't stand the sight of.And then their relatives would come for dinner and stare at us unblinking for hours.Lights out at ten and boxing gloves issued.

Haha my dad wouldn't have stood for that.
I was the miracle baby when I was born, they'd tried for six years with no luck, finally had me, I was in an incubator for the first day or two. Finally, Saturday September 22, 1984, the doctors said they could take me home. That beautiful moment when my mum and dad could finally bring their beloved first born into the family home for the first time had arrived.

Minimum amount of research required to find out why my dad wasn't there. We are bloody lethal when we're 4-0 down at half time aren't we?

Mum took me home in a taxi by herself. I was in a single parent family for the first few months of my life

Different story if I lived anywhere near London or had a family/in-laws that gave a fk but alas no.

Anyway I'm more than a bit nobbed off about it all so probably 'bit' in response to no excuses.

I'm abroad but not seriously ill, sick and twisted and bitter; check. One of my dogs has got worms but I dont think that counts as a sick note, and the one person to look after them has gone back to the UK for a week. 3000 mile round trip, 2 flat tyres, £600 for a new set of four (new EU law must buy four at a time...ffs) Anyway, every silver lining has a cloud and the one bar in walking distance AND within 300 miles serving Fullers stopped last week...prepped as far as one can be, fridge loaded with Mahou, CHEESE, steak and one very fat cigar.

Sorry. I can't be there. I committed myself to fingering a couple of months ago. That's the way cricket works nowadays. Sorry, I am old school. Give a commitment and stick by it. Sir Alec would understand, even if 'Arry can't fill in a tax form properly.

I am putting the digit up at Fakeham on Saturday, but I will be getting texts at square leg on a regular basis. If Derby score, expect some poor bastard to get a shocking LBW decision, Lee Mason style.

In all serousness, I want QPR to win on Saturday, but there is no comparison today to the feeling there was about QPR in 1967.

Good luck to everyone there, have a great time, but it's just not the same.

BTW, if anyone looking like SWP walks out holding a bat on Saturday, he's toast.

I keep tellin ya . 115 min Swp comes on for Hoillett whos hamstring has snapped .He collects the ball and runs diagonally across the field before
smacking it in the top corner . Later that evening we discover that promotion has triggered an extension to his contract......I have dreamt it ..well the first bit anyway ..
