The situation that we are in now is difficult to predict. There are so many unknowns:

Teams have lost momentum
There are questions about fitness
Will the playing surfaces be good if grounds men have been furloughed
5 subs is something we’ve never seen
Removal of home advantage

Not sure how this will play out for us.

Actually in warm weather with hard pitches our style of football could really help us in terms of fitness etc of others who's more industrial style might suit better in January than June and July, likewise warmer could be better in that situation.

This is of course QPR we're talking about so...

As with the bloke at Charlton, some players eyeing moves might not put a full shift in. However, those facing unemployment might go at it like madmen!

I think the 5 subs will help the bigger clubs with the stronger squads. They will have stronger benches and more players to cover for injuries. It should also help more losing teams turn games around.

It will be interesting to see which clubs can adapt it to their advantage in the first game or two. Will we see more first half tactical substitutions, more multiple subs at half time and more subbed subs, more players running themselves into the ground for 45-60 minutes knowing that they will be replaced by fresh legs?

Not sure I'm in favour of it but an interesting experiment. For nearly a century it was an eleven man game, it was only in the mid sixties that a substitution was first allowed. There were no subs allowed when England won the Jules Rimet in 1966.

It’ll play out like this..

Hoos and Les, rightly calling out the quick restart and call for wage caps but maybe a little too publicly, will see a squad with the major hump lose heavily to Barnsley for the first time at home in about 100 years.

Season over.

I think that there will be someone unexpected that will win nearly every game and will unexpectedly get promotion after not appearing to be in real contention now.
Conversely a team who was not in trouble before will fail to pick up more than a few points and will fall into the relegation spots.

So - Blackburn to make the run to play offs

Sheff Weds to drop like a stone

BTW I think we will win 3 lose 3 and draw 3 and end up 12th!
