Cpt Grant Hall 23:46 - Feb 25 with 2521 views | Lblock | A word Thought he almost back to his best tonight Great finish to start things rolling but he won some great duals and a couple of fantastic sliding tackles Him and Barbet looking good. That’s more than a word... apologies I’m not being descriptively correct with my diction and nouns etc this evening I’ve given Hall a bit lately so only right balance is maintained and credit where it’s hugely due. Aye, aye Captain [Post edited 25 Feb 2020 23:48]

Cpt Grant Hall on 23:51 - Feb 25 with 2490 views | Hunterhoop | To add some balance, I actually thought he was pretty ropey second half (that long ball allowed to bounce through for Waghorn?!) and that Barbet, who I criticised earlier in the season, was the far better centre half of the two. Given Hall’s supposed wage (almost BFG-esque), and his contract up this summer, i’d Let him go and back we’ll find two better or equal centre halves for the same money.
Cpt Grant Hall on 23:54 - Feb 25 with 2478 views | BrianMcCarthy | I thought tonight was one of his better games, I agree LB. But Barbet is a far better player, and was again tonight, I thought. Masterson is also in waiting.

This. It’s amazing what a bit of pressure and competition can do to focus the mind!
Cpt Grant Hall on 00:56 - Feb 26 with 2383 views | smegma | I had Hall at 18/1 for first goal. Ive had BFG every game until he left.

Agree. Goal aside, Barbet was the better defender tonight, making some timely interceptions and spraying some nice passes around. Has returned from injury rejuvenated and now appears less prone to making rash challenges in the box. Long may it continue. Still yet to be convinced by Barbet the free-kick taker, though. The goal wasn't down to Barbet either, Benny, or at least not that I can see.

Sorry that's my poor English confusing you. I meant notwithstanding that Grant scored, Barbet was the better defender. [Post edited 26 Feb 2020 1:25]

Cpt Grant Hall on 09:48 - Feb 26 with 2069 views | derbyhoop | Never a bad bet to back a CB who can score goals. The odds are usually good and that was Hall's 4th of the season. Have they all been first scorer? I'd predicted a 2-1 win but I didn't fancy either Hugill or Eze as first scorer. I thought about Hall but opted for Pugh. My bad.

Cpt Grant Hall on 10:29 - Feb 26 with 2008 views | paulparker | Shame Hall got that injury when he was playing as a holding midfielder a couple of seasons back As we could of got some decent money for him , I can’t see him next year being here but then again I can’t see many championship sides signing him either
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I don’t know. Forest could probably do with a bit more strength in depth?

Even the Derby fans agreed with you Brian. There were regular chants of Come On Barbet coming from their end.

He would have improved the Derby defence considerably! He's certainly better than Davies & Wisdon.

Was going to maybe start a thread on Hall's contract situation a few weeks ago but people starting going OTT over him and I didn't fancy a pile-on. Given how the club have been handling things in general it does seem like what you say the is way it's going. Or perhaps both sides have agreed to wait and see depending on injuries/interest? Warbs hasn't come across as particularly down on him. I hadn't heard anything about his supposedly BFG-esque wage mind.

It was a joke that nobody except Brian seems to have got. Derby fans were singing Come On Derby which sounded a bit like Come On Barbet. I suppose if a joke needs to be explained it's a pretty sht joke!
