Green Tea on 16:27 - Mar 21 with 2043 views | Hoopstar | I'm with you - my other half loves the stuff, might as well just stick an old sock in some boiling water for me. Do love many other herbal teas though do tend to just go for the Yorkshire every time.

Green Tea on 17:34 - Mar 21 with 1885 views | losethedrum | Only recently tried it & its not awful to me as a taste. One surprising thing is that i seem to be losing weight since drinking two cups a day so maybe it has this & other health benefits . Agree its best not to drink it if you hate the taste though . | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Green Tea on 18:47 - Mar 21 with 1785 views | kensalriser | Love it. Mistake to treat it as black tea, though, it can be very tannic. Most restaurants, even quite good ones have no idea how to make it so it's palatable. You don't want to use enough to stuff a cushion with and leave it to stew. The best method is to put a few loose leaves in a cup and use water off the boil.

Green Tea on 13:39 - Mar 22 with 1342 views | Esox_Lucius | A persons taste buds die every 2 weeks or so and regenerate so, if your were to persist with drinking Green tea for a month say, you would find a different reaction to the taste after that time. Two things that have definitely convinced me of this were when I began to eat low sodium & sugar baked beans, I thought they were disgusting and bland but I stuck at it and a year after I started I ate some regular baked beans and it made the inside of my mouth curl and they tasted so sugary. The other one was when I began to add turmeric and fresh ground black pepper to my porridge, blueberries & banana breakfast cereal. It really tasted foul but after a month or so I can really appreciate the different flavours and textures in my breakfast. Gunpowder Green tea loose leaves rather than tea bags is definitely the way to go and can be bought from Whittards. https://www.whittard.co.uk/tea/tea-type/green-tea/gunpowder-loose-tea-MSTR314625

Don't leave the tea bags in for more than 3-3.5 mins as it will stew which releases tannins and cause a bitter taste to appear. Also some Green teas taste better if you use water which isn't quite boiling, around 95-98º C [Post edited 22 Mar 2021 14:18]
