When Sterling scored was the loudest roar I've ever heard live, and frankly, I've been to more than most, and I don't care if that sounds big time.

That is the loudest I have ever heard Wembley full on non stop supporting the team players might find it hard going from that to no fans whatsoever in Rome

Yep I thought the game was a bit boring until about 20 minutes into the second half. But when the 2 goals went in WOW! I've never heard a roar like it ... both goal celebrations went on for ages too :)

Yeh we were comparing the England Roar to the QPR Zamora roar on the way home. We came to the conclusion that the England one seemed louder to us probably because the noise was coming from the whole stadium ???

And you also haven't got the friends who support different teams 'tagging along' as you had with us at Wembley.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Whatever about the roar, social distancing is completely non-existent, not just a Wembley but in every ground. Delta can't believe it's good fortune

My front room when Terry missed the Champions League penalty.

I was wondering if Uri Geller had yet claimed he was the one who caused Muller to miss?

Keegan scoring up at Newcastle on his debut, loudest I’ve heard at football.

Loudest ever was when I used to work at Heathrow and would walk outside nearish the runway to watch Concorde take off. You had to cover your ears when it was level with you.

Technically, Delta isn't sentient, so I doubt this is true.

Bare bones.

I used to live on the edge of Poyle and Colnbrook under the western end of one of the runways. If I happened to be getting into or out of the car when it went over the car literally shook!

indeed. Perhaps with Britain hospital cases already at last February's levels, they should? It was agreed that Liverpool's game with Atletico Madrid and the Cheltenham races were the catalyst to the first lockdown. Now, after 15 months of sacrifice and death, games are being played in front of big crowds all over Europe and 'nobody cares any more' - my word

Not sentient perhaps, but a living organism just the same, which adores facetiousness as it goes hand in hand with complacency

Have to get on with life now we can't just live under lockdown forever plus we have the vaccine now which is keeping deaths and hospital admissions low

It's been fantastic seeing crowds and proper atmosphere again

I was refereeing at Bedfont one Sunday morning when it took off, had to stop the game briefly as no fûcker could hear my whistle.

Bore off. “Cases” as in positive Covid tests. not deaths. If you are worried, then don’t leave your home ever. But let us all get on with things.

The passion of the crowd was fantastic to see and not very Wembley like. This is how it should always be for England games, rather than selfie taking tourists etc. For too long we've not had the home ground intimidation factor that other countires often do. If we get back to Wembley by beating Ukraine then we need to go even louder.

After years of the prem, champions league etc being taken over by rich owners and passionless plastic supporters, the atmosphere was amazing to see. The one form of football left where a few teams can't just go out and buy all the best players is international football.

There was a lot of echo around Wembley due to it being half empty.

Great to see atmosphere back at Wembley, hopefully once we are back at home matches at LR that will come back as well, been missing for a few years in my opinion. On the Covid front best not to be too complacent, but we do have to get back to some normality, albeit following health advice and I say this on experience of losing my mother in law to the virus.

For volume at a live sporting event, think loudest I’ve heard was when Mo Farah kicked off the final bend in 2012 Olympics.

Hard to replicate at a football stadium as not all the crowd are on the same side.
