There seems to be a rumour doing the rounds on fb that Stroud is in charge for the Bournemouth home game.Would they have appointed a ref yet,or is it just rumours?

Seen it going round Twitter as well so it might be true, but the EFL website doesn't even have the referees for this weekend up as yet (it's not the most reliable TBH).

but maybe a tad more reliable than Twitter?

Shouldn't think they would appoint 13 days in advance for the obvious reason that any of the officials could get injured at their next games.

Quick spin through shows they usually publish 3 - 7 days before a fixture - obviously, COULD be appointed before then, but that's when published on the EFL website.

Another edit - they HAVE published the PL fixtures for the next 4 weeks.

The LFW Referee of the Year is at Brighton on the 26th as 4th official.

They are yet to announce the officials for this week, so I would imagine that the Stroud rumour was started by somebody who looked up appointments for the game & didn't realise when seeing his name, that the match had already been played.

I will look stupid if it turns out to be correct though!

Well a lot of the thinking atm seems to be around geography - and unfortunately for us Woolmer and Stroud are local to us. Eltringham, who I think is about the best there is in our league atm, unfortunately is based in Durham so we've hardly seen him.
