Inevitable but he did an amazing job for them overall.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

That's a shame. He's a character and a bloody good manager on his day. Can't see him staying in the UK. He'll be snapped up by a Spanish La Liga team.

I watched the last 2 games against Liverpool and Man Utd with a life long Leeds fan and their defending was just pathetic so they got destroyed.Something like 17 goals against while scoring 2 is not acceptable in a pub league so the writing was on the wall.
Losing Philips and Bamford was too much of a hurdle to overcome and at this level you will get killed dead .
Bielsa might retire IMO

His protege is going great guns at Huddersfield.

Turns out he was not the Messiah then but a very naughty boy.

Yes he did but although he had a large amount of championship players that most he improved he did spend over 150 mill on recruitments during his time in the PL.I can’t look beyond the 3 promoted clubs to get relegated so expecting then to survive.

Superb coach and manager. Absolutely love watching his teams play. Haven't seen Leeds this year or followed their results but hope he's back entertaining crowds again soon.

They've contacted Headingley to borrow their scoreboard so they can keep tally of the goals conceded.

"Character" - how can you tell, when all the interviews I've seen have been conducted through an interpreter?

Trouble is Brian, its the opposition crowds he's been entertaining lately!

I think I'd rather watch a Bielsa interview (through an interpreter or not) than the predictable clap-trap that many English managers deliver when they are in front of a microphone.

There was always going to be a limit and they are having that typical second season thing after a flying start in the prem. They and Brentford currently in free fall while teams below them have started picking up points and have games in hand. Newcastle also looking like they will pull well clear now.

Sorry but I can't abide any manager that still performs interviews through an interpreter after 4 years in the UK. For me that shows a lack of respect for the host country.

What I do admire, however, is the strength of his knees. How, at 66, he stays crouched pitch-side for so long is beyond me.

Big job for Ted Lasso to turn it around.

Not everyone has the talent to learn a language, Benny.

Agree with you about the crouching though, amazing.

A good piece on Bielsa's time at Leeds: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/feb/27/marcelo-bielsa-transformed-leed

Mind you, the words decency and humility in connection with dirty Lids must be a first.

You must be watching different interviews to me - he never says anything that wasn't blindingly obvious if you saw the game yourself, in all the ones I have seen.
