New backroom staff…? 10:39 - Jun 2 with 5202 viewsDoudou87

Now we have our manager in place, I’m very curious to see what changes to the backroom there will be. Must have a large pool of contacts from all the clubs he’s worked at.

Any part time detectives worked out who it could potentially be?

Given what we know about him so far I think he'll take the opportunity to meet the current team and make his own judgement. I think as we saw with Eustace pre MW he has a good understanding of the players and might enjoy working alongside Beale its just if Beale feels Eustace would be a good foil for him or not?

Bamfield for all i've read has a good pedigree and I'd ideally like to see more coaches added than taken away.

I guess time will tell but I agree that I am sure that Beale has a good knowledge of coaches he will have worked with before from the academy set-ups after all loads of those are currently working as head coaches/managers (Critchley, Robinson etc)

I think I read or heard that he likes to delegate sections of the team and pitch to individual coaches and then bring them all together himself .Not sure if Eustace or Banfield has those specialist qualities . If I were Eustace I would want to stick around to learn some new methods .

Yes, you're right. Beale segments coaching into defence, midfield and attack. He also works with a specialist set piece coach.

Thank God ,hopefully our days of giving up simple goals from corners are over. Also the strange amount of goals we let in right before the half time whistle too.Maybe we just switched off waiting for the whistle.
Great to see such optomism on here for this new man, best of luck to him and the boys

I would have thought Eustace and Banfield will follow MW wherever he goes next.

I think MB’s number two is going to be critical. I would have thought he would want someone who can deal with some of the ‘manager’ stuff. He clearly loves coaching, excels at it, it would be a waste for him to be too distracted from it.

More than happy with this if it is true. Another very good coach and a title winner in Scotland as such last season. 37 so we really are going for a much younger set up.

Never knowingly right.

Eustace has managed (caretaker/lower leagues) and he's an ex-pro which may be useful. It's hard to know what he's going to do tbh.

He was in the frame for the job and also for the Watford job but lost out on both. Would being number 2 to Beale be better and show a greater breadth of experience than following Warburton. Were promises made about having the managers job after Warburton which may make him staying now difficult? I'm interested to find out. Personally I hope he stays.

Beale doesn't strike me as the sort of bloke who hasn't 100% planned for this moment, knows what it will look like, knows who he wants.

Jermain Defoe is a big fan of Beale and is completing his coaching badges. I wonder if he would be tempted to come as part of the backroom staff. I would imagine it would have a great effect on our strikers having someone like that on the coaching team. Who knows...

From all that I have heard Eustace and Banfield well regarded.

Eustace turned down Swansea job last season didn't he ???

I would like Eustace to stay. It seemed players rated him.

I wonder what jobs Beale turned down before QPR. There was talk he turned down offers before being offered role with us. Wonder who that would have been with.

I would have thought Eustace would have applied for the managers role and with all the strange names being linked until Beale came into the fore, am sure he would have been a contender for the job. So even if he stays, think he may want a managers role sooner rather than later.

Beale was heavily linked with the Charlton job at one time.
