| Kolli's infamous goals to game ratios 16:27 - Sep 7 with 2865 views | numptydumpty | Just wanted to put a stat out there with regards to this. | Competition | Appearances | Goals | | EFL Championship | 52 | 9 | But scored three braces so effectively only scored in 6 out of 52 games he has had involvement in. Also 8 of his 9 goals have been scored when we were already leading and the other one when we were level. In 52 appearances he has not scored even one goal to get us back in a game that we were behind in. Yes some of them have been fantastic individual goals, but if he is looked at to bring us back into a game, so far he has not done it once in 52 league appearances. I wont go into details as to why he has not had a look in at times, as we have all debated that with no real conclusions either way but its an interesting stat in itself. I guess people can read into it, whichever way they want. Personally hope he has a future here, but its looked unlikely for some time. [Post edited 7 Sep 16:29]

| Kolli's infamous goals to game ratios on 16:43 - Sep 7 with 2779 views | Hunterhoop | Numpty, this is a bit silly. Firstly, the stat is “goals to mins” ratio because most of those appearances are off the bench. Secondly, a goal to take us from a draw to a lead is worth more points (2) than a goal from a loss to a draw (1), and he has definitely scored those sorts of goals. Thirdly, braces aren’t worth less in goal scoring charts than single goals. Does Haaland get assessed like that? Fourthly, stats are useless without relative comparison. You haven’t done that. People who have shared the “goals to min” stat before have compared it to current and past players. If I recall, I think it was better than Kone, and marginally worse than Burrell (194 mins per goal last season). Obviously miles better than Lloyd, and then better than past players like Dykes, Washington, etc. The issue is he simply hasn’t been given the same chance others have (currently and those gone before). We’d know more if he had. But, for what opportunity he has been given, his stats are decent. They are certainly not something to beat him with. But more to the point, why begin a whole thread on this? The topic has been done to death. It simply looks like you’re going after a young lad again because you can’t accept others have a different view to you in him. This is a lad who’s progressed right through our youth set up to our first team; precisely the sort we should be backing (for all sorts of reasons) without cast iron evidence he’s a bad sort. And that doesn’t exist, because, whilst not perfect, he isn’t. | | | |

| Kolli's infamous goals to game ratios on 16:48 - Sep 7 with 2736 views | Padulas_Shampoo | You don't like him much do you? I think the statistical argument for his goal scoring record is more to do with his minutes not his games. He's averaged 40.5 mins across those games whereas Kone has averaged 76.6 and Burrell 66. Kolli has averaged a goal every 210 minutes or 0.42 goals per 90. Burrell has averaged a goal every 204 minutes, 0.44 goals per 90. Kone has averaged a goal every 334 minutes or 0.27 per 90. For reference Dykes averaged 72 mins per match, averaged a goal ever 322 minutes, 0.28 per 90. It's pretty mad that an academy lad with that record gets looked over as much as Rayan has. God knows why. I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more than meets the eye. I won't be judging him as a person or a player based on gossip or hearsay one way or the other though. When he's played he's been no worse than decent and his goalscoring record rivals Burrell's and is far superior to Kone or Dykes'. [Post edited 7 Sep 16:49]

Adam Le Fondre has the fifth best goals per minute ratio in Premier League history. And at 39 he's the same age as Jamie Vardy. Is it time for a comeback??? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Not at all. I do like him thats why the whole scenario baffles me, but thought the stat above was interesting. Have been baffled myself by his non selection from January despite us having a lot of injuries up top. Not even on the bench and not even selected in the youth set up either and not invited on preseason tour when other youth prospects and other injured players were. It would be brilliant if he came good. Clearly none of us are in the thinking of the club hierarchy so thought perhaps this stat was interesting and revealing. [Post edited 7 Sep 18:40]

| Kolli's infamous goals to game ratios on 19:15 - Sep 7 with 2211 views | loftboy | Personally I think he needs integrating back into the squad, he’s one of the best finishers when the ball needs “thumping” from a difficult angle, there’s been a few missed chances this season that I thought he would have scored from. Door the slate clean and move on. | |

The stat about him not scoring even one goal to get us back in a game that we were behind in is not true I'm afraid. We were 1-0 down v Preston and he got the equaliser although not sure it overly matters, the goals all count whether you score the first or 5th of the game. Some stats for what they are worth are We've won 6 of the 8 games he's scored in He's started 22 games, sub 34 times and has 11 goals. Each season he's been at the club he has improved his goals scored every season. https://www.qprhistory.co.uk/p | | | |
