| Rampant Rangers rout wretched Rams (again) – Report on 07:43 - Oct 16 with 2402 views | M40R | Brilliant and entertaining review. We QPR fans are lucky to have such reports (and the option to chip in via Patreon). All these injuries to all these teams, not just us, is remarkable when I think back to the 75/76 team and heavy tackling that was routine. Mention for Adamson: really coming on. | | | |
| Rampant Rangers rout wretched Rams (again) – Report on 08:27 - Oct 16 with 2242 views | thehat | Thank you Clive brilliant as always and bang on the money. A thoroughly enjoyable report on a very dominant QPR performance. It did help that for once the visiting Goalkeeper didn't come as a reincarnation of 1970’s Gordon Banks. A very small gripe from me was using all five subs again so early and not keeping one in your back pocket for late emergencies meaning we yet again finish the game with ten players. Did anyone else notice Ronnie holding his hamstring (please god no) for the last four minutes of injury time. Anyway what do I know we won 4 v 1 so I’ll shut up………. Wishing all the best to Amadou Mbengue, a very important part of this very likeable squad. Praying for an Esquerdinha like recovery…….. | | | |

We were talking in the Crown beforehand, how many substitutions that Stephan has made this season have actually been his choice? A tactical, managerial choice rather than an injury or somebody having their minutes managed...

You could almost see him kicking himself after Mbengue went down, because I think the Scarlett change was actually one of his. Scarlett, to his credit, again didn't look out of place though. Would've been nice to watch him get a chance against Derby with 11 on the field.
| Rampant Rangers rout wretched Rams (again) – Report on 08:50 - Oct 16 with 2095 views | stevec | I’ve seen this before. There’s something about being a QPR supporter, essentially schooled in adversity, we’re quite unsure how to handle comprehensive wins with a superior side. One down, 2-1 win, that we can thrive on. It’s just the bit, those rare times, when we step on the pitch with a side good enough that we expect to win and not only that, they go out and show they’re good enough to do it. I’ve noticed, when the roofs about to fall in, the crowds go up. Was in a box many years ago, we were in Division 1 or the Premier League, I can’t remember, and at the end we got to go on the pitch and have a shot or two at the away end. We used to win games for fun at that time. Yet I remember, as I looked up above the goal, the scoreboard said ‘crowd today, ten thousand and something, thank you for your attendance’. That’s something that’s always stuck with me, like it’s defined where we really wanted to be, as if we weren’t entirely comfortable with raging success. If this all goes pear shaped, the club don’t need to worry, we’ll be there. If we are to become successful, bare with us, we’ll all get there eventually. | | | |

Yeah we certainly have had a few curve balls to deal with on substitutions. Big discussion in G block Wednesday night too. We were surprised with the game won we didn't protect Kamara (who looked a little leggy for the last 20 minutes) with Varane and instead opted to take Vale off (who we believed could have done with 90 minutes in his legs). Also Lloyd and Kolli are young athletes. Do we really need to bring them off when either of them could score another goal which would boost confidence. However I guess the coaching team are much closer to the players and their fitness levels than I am from a boozer on the Uxbridge Road. As mentioned above a huge shout out to Adamson who I read is the fittest player stamina wise at the club. What a remarkable turnaround and has come good at just the right time.
| Rampant Rangers rout wretched Rams (again) – Report on 09:30 - Oct 16 with 1930 views | Geoff78 | Smyth has become so important to this team. It's obvious when he's subbed off that we lose so much. He's obviously got pace, but he's irrepressible, bounces up from challenges, is always willing to run at (and often passed) the defender and he's enthusiastic. He knows how to win free kicks and penalties, sometimes dubiously, and always looks like he's enjoying himself. Not the most skillful, but a real diamond. Wasn't my pick for MotM but deserves Clive's accolade. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think Smyth was really struggling at the end,so bringing Scarlett on for the last 15 minutes or so,might mean that one of our most attacking players could be available for the Birmingham game.Taking both strikers off at the same time seemed a bit excessive to me.Maybe Kolli or Lloyd should’ve stayed on if we’re going to play with only 1 striker anyway? Then make the last change on 85 minutes.
| Rampant Rangers rout wretched Rams (again) – Report on 11:37 - Oct 16 with 1477 views | Brighton_R | Charles is unique and utterly mesmerising. There was a moment very early in the second half that went unnoticed by the Derby cheerleaders masquerading as Sky Sports commentators. Gary Rowett was still wanging on about how Derby could hopefully get back into the game, when Charles received a short goal kick from Dunne (I think). As the Derby attacker approached Charles, he simply got his toe under the ball and flipped it over the attacker's head to one of our defenders about six feet away. It was so nonchalant, like he was playing in the back garden or on the beach, that it made me laugh out loud. The kid's a freak and I'm very much here for him | | | |

I'd say the Scarlett one was pretty much enforced as well, Smyth was clearly struggling and attempting to run off his knock, whatever it was. we were actually quite frustrated in the stands that they didn't do the scarlet sub at the same time as the Kemper/Mbengue one, as Smyth was clearly struggling even then...

Yeah. Unfortunately although both young, Kolli and Lloyd are both injury prone with niggly muscle issues, so we have to preserve them a bit with Burrell and Kone not fully fit either.

Good non-haberdashery usage of darn. 👍🏼 Classic report. The table shows the grown-up and progressive strides the club is making. This team excites. Credit due to staff and players.
