Does changing ends at the start unnerve anyone else? 16:57 - Nov 5 with 1878 viewsJules4367

There have been a few games where the opposition chooses to change ends.

I know it is (and should be) the same but I find it unnerving and disorienting.

Do you think the opposition does it on purpose to change our kind set somehow?

I’d be surprised if it makes any difference to the players, but I find it very annoying, especially so as I sit in the Loft.

I hate it. Always ruins the atmosphere and we tend to struggle. Don't know why more teams don't do it.

I assume the worst the moment this happens. I detest it. Always want to see us kick towards either The Loft or if we are away the Rangers fans in the 2nd half.

This.

I didn't have a good feeling about Tuesday's match and the change of ends reinforced it. I'm still surprised we got a point after going in behind at half-time, but no keeper on Earth would have stopped Varane's thunderbastard.

Suffering since 1978.

I can’t stand it. It really shouldn’t matter but I get bad vibes when it happens.

Who’s got the stats, then?

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

It was a portent of doom and the then Kone kicked it out on the full from the kick off didn’t help.
Strange atmosphere all round on Tuesday night . Looking at rows of empty seats in the away end didn’t help .
You could hear players conversations on the pitch as well . Very weird.

It shouldn't make a difference but it feels like it does.

Would love to see stats for the results of games where we kick towards the Loft in the first half.

It freaks me out. Being in R block with a great view of th goal Loft end, however dire the first half is, always take comfort (or sometimes its false hope) that I'll see some great golas close up in the second half. If we do score at the other end can't always see who it is if its one of those everyone in the box mad scrambles. I think I may be a bit of a creature of habit - we sat directly opposite to where we usually are for the Fiorentina game and my brain cells were struggling to process the game at times. It would be great to see some stats on this if anyone can oblige?

I don't want to see stats on it. They wouldn't look good. It would just reinforce it and more opponents would start doing it.

As for the kick off, if we want to aim near the corner flag then Kone is not your man.

Pierce Charles should take it.😁

If it's because most teams want to kick off towards their fans in the second half, and it unsettles the oppo if they don't...then why don't we kick-off towards our dugouts?

That'll fox 'em.

I don't like it either and it feels like QPR always fail to win when it happens.

As far as I remember, whenever we won the toss at Anfield, we always made Liverpool kick towards the Kop in the first half.

So those stats suggest maybe we should switch ends more often.......

Normally I hate it but this season our goalkeeper and defence are often the best thing about us so I don't mind it.

Also anybody remember that awful season 2 or 3 years ago where we went about 6 months without scoring in the Loft End?
