I don't see why necessarily. Obviously we're light at the back but it's bloody Middlesbrough, not Real Madrid. They'll play Assombalonga who can be great but is hit and miss with either Fletcher (average, soft) or Bamford (average, soft).
They can be got at at the back. Gibson is very good for this level but Fabio is still bloody Fabio and Randolph in goal is no Smithies IMO. Their midfield is decent but nothing to be scared of.
Exactly - not only are they NOT Real Madrid, they are not even Newcastle last season.
They are a whole ONE place above us in the league.

Hasn't tended to matter. QPR have won six of their last 26 away games in the league. 10 of the last 49 12 of the last 68 20 of the last 91 22 of the last 110 25 of the last 129 and so on.
Haven't played Real Madrid, or Newcastle, too often amongst that lot.

So that's roughly 1 in 5, in which case we must be due one.
In August 1975 both regular centre backs, Webb and McLintock, were injured for our visit to Derby, then champions. We played the game with Tony Tagg making his full debut and reserve centre forward Ron Abbott lining up at the back. We won 5-1. Have faith.
Tony Tagg is the neighbour of a friend of mine. Lives in Chessington.
Mackie has said he would play full back if needed. I suspect Baptiste Robinson and Bidwell may play back 3. I know that Smith has played as an emergency CB in games at Fulham and Leeds and we know that Goss can play CB, all 8 foot 9 of him. Plus Manning is a decent LB if needed.

Scowen played RB on occasion at Barnsley. But that would be a waste, especially with Furlong on the bench.
Karl told me a story once about a club that got thrown out the cup because they fielded a women. Apparently they nearly got away with it because she looked like Kirk Douglas in Spartacus.

Have you still got her number Karl?
Kirk Douglas? More like Guy Garvey tbh, she's had as much trouble proving her eligibility for the Orkney women's team. However I'd imagine a centre back pairing of her and Baptiste would occupy Wayne Rooney enough to keep a clean sheet, well maybe not quite......

Seriously Clive, I'm starting to worry about you. These sort of stats could be regarded as a touch obsessive.
