Althea & Donna Uptown Top Ranking
Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg Je t'aime, moi non plus
Matthews Southern Comfort Woodstock

Althea & Donna - "Uptown Top Ranking" - an absolute shocker.

"Yes sir I can boogie" - by Baccarra - just as shockingly bad.

"Macarthur Park" - Richard Harris was weirdly magnificent. "Fire " - Arthur Brown" - likewise top hole.

The Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You

"Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth" and "We Used To Be Friends"... were both Top 20 hits, not to mention several in the Top 40 such as "Every Day Should Be A Holiday".

I was going to nominate "Another Girl, Another Planet" by The Only Ones but when I googled them to check they didn't have any other hits I found the damn thing wasn't a hit at all, peaking at 57 when re-released years later when the (very triffic indeed) Sound of The Suburbs compilation album came out.

Which makes The Only Ones the greatest ever Not A Hit Wonders. (No Hit Wonders are a different category, with I suppose Led Zep at the top since they never released singles.)

The Motors released a best of, in 1981, modestly - and truthfully - entitled 'The Motors Greatest Hit'

Katrina and the Waves had at least two hits - Walking on Sunshine and the eurovision one (and also got the Bangles started with Going Down to Liverpool)
