Blimey, charming that Is. Is this literally a post deliberately attempting to get me in trouble or something?
Tim Sylvia obviously, former ufc heavyweight champion of the world. That's worth two points.
I suppose it's not the best name in the world exactly, but certainly never considered it as a negative. Classily understated. Never really given it much thought. Re footballers, i'm adding my name to the list. Completely two footed, best engine on the pitch. Eye for a goal, eye for a pass. The complete player, a real crowd favourite.
I wouldn't say i was thrilled with the Tim-nice-but-dim Harry Enfield character, or that idiot in Sorry, but i'm not sure you could find more different people than them to me, so i got away with it pretty easily.
Ps Oh yeah, that bloody Timotei shampoo. P!ssed me off somewhat when our French teacher informed the class on day one my name was Timothy in French. Wasn't thrilled about that come to think of it.

When I was 5 I had a mate called Tim. He was allergic to milk.
I had two mates called Tim - one known by the way his name was always spoken back to front - Yhtomit Nosnibor. He once fell out of a tree on a conkering expedition.
Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I saw Tim Brooke-Taylor turn out for a Showbiz XI at Lower Mead in the mid 70s. He wasn't much of a footballer, but one of the few playing that day who hasn't had an early morning knock at the door from Operation Yew Tree

I played in a team with a Tim once. Lovely bloke, for a Southend United supporter. Problem was he once scored direct from a corner and proceded to spend the rest of his Sunday morning football career trying to replicate the feat failing pathetically often barely getting the ball as far as the near post. If ever the team won a corner there was a desperate race for any else but Tim to get the ball and take the corner. In the end if we won a corner and he ended up taking it people weren't even bothered go up field for it. Did great mix tapes though.
