just watched a micky Flanagan tape, well halfway through, stopped it, threw it in the bin. didn't even smile, let alone laugh once.
plenty of good comedians to name but...
bob monkhouse, clever comedian tommy cooper, just looked and laughed Bernard manning, very undiverse, but fitted in with the times, especially when you had people such as Charlie Williams and Kenny lynch laughing at him.
was going to include comedy series, but just too many over the years. oh ok then

I loved Green Wing and you've reminded me that anything with Sally Phillips in usually makes me laugh. Smack The Pony was great and I wish there'd been more of it.
Outnumbered was brilliant and innovative with the unscripted kids.
For contemporary radio comedy I really like John Finnemore.
For old school TV comedy Ronnie Barker was a real craftsman, some of the actual material wasn't great but he was genuinely a fine character actor as well as a comedian.
Oh yes you're right, Outnumbered really funny. Especially the wedding. Karen freaking out the bride is genius.
And I'd forgotten to put Father Ted. Still makes me laugh. I don't know John Finnemore. Will look him up, thanks.

Could never take to Robin Williams comedy, but loved his straight acting in Good Will Hunting for example. Tragic story though.

Could never take to Robin Williams comedy and hated his straight acting in Good Will Hunting. Occasionally take a drink in the L St Tavern as it happens.
