Heard earlier today that he's not in squad tomorrow after a bid was accepted.
Was a bit sceptical but now Belgian journo says Club Bruges have agreed a £5m fee.

Quite surprised to read BOS has only scored 12 goals in 145 games for us and Blackpool.

Don't forget Furlong who never had enough starts either. Before Eustice and Warbs, the young-uns never had a chance.

The trick to seeing how they play for QPR is to ... err play'em for QPR.
Funny that.

Completely agree with all these posts. I remember early on in this season when Manning was staring at left back after we bombed him out to Rotherham on loan last season. It's incredible really, Manning didn't just get good this season - he could have left for nothing and we'd never have know the player we had (although the fans suspected it), now we have a player who we all wish had been given more game time earlier on because he'd be even more of an asset to us now. I think Warbs and his team has done a great job getting these young players playing and playing well.

He needs to sit this game out.
Then we need to sell him early. The longer he is with us, the more his value drops. If we don't sell him in this window, he's worth next to nothing in Jan and actually nothing June 21.

tonight is shop window time for him and Eze, if he plays well when a lot of people will be watching in a big game he might get the move he wants to the premier league. That will be his thinking.

Difficult one for the club do you risk him getting injured and losing the money from a move but if he does well a chance for a bidding war.

He's had a season in the shop window.

He has chosen to leave. If he gets injured, that's 5m down the drain.

Thinking along the lines of offering him another 5k/10k a week in a bid to add one more year to current contract & then selling in a year for closer to £10 million .
This would cost 250k/500k & may well net an extra £5 million .
So yes Rangers would have to pay him more but would still have an excellent player & properly cash in come next summer , i know its speculate to accumulate & the club would have to persuade Bright but worth a try .
At the very least lets not race to give him away at the very start of the transfer window , this sends out the wrong message to potential buyers of some of our other players .

Apart from him refusing to sign an extension, if we could do that it doesn't do anything to help the club's cashflow. It makes the current situation worse.

The club needs money now, apart from anything else, to fund player recruitment.

Unless he signs a new contract with us.

My hope is that he's had a look around and realised that the only place he's guaranteed to play football is here.

The younger or the older?

Definitely the younger. He was the complete player.

I'm just saying from his point of view that is why he will want to play, I wouldn't pick him either, hes chosen to go so thanks and goodbye

Also to put the £5m ish bid into prospective. Birmingham turned down bids of £35m plus add ons for Bellingham in January and have now sold him for £24m ish. Lost a third of his pre pandemic price.

Not quite sure how Bellingham is worth that much, but that's football for you.

Played for Birmingham against Preston at the weekend after signing in Germany. I'm confused!

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

The general point is true but I don't think that's accurate in Bellingham's case. They knocked back a £20m bid in January with United looking to pull a fast one last minute and maybe they thought they might get more now, but the race for buyers was always more about convincing the player not winning a bidding war where the asking price has always been set more or less.

Think any of us with half a brain understand this self-sustainability lark is slow patient work but Christ it is pretty annoying seeing Brum take the piss then drunkenly stumble into £40m for a non league late bloomer and a generational youth product by accident.

They should wrap him up in cotton wool and chain him to something soft!

Actually chains might be a bit brittle. Ropes. They should use ropes!

Tell you what, why don't you pop to Dortmund and speak to their recruitment team. You know, the ones that identified and bought Haaland for £20m and within a few weeks had a player on their hands worth probably closer to £80m. I do agree, that Bellingham costing £4m more is pretty incredible, but it also depends on who else was bidding and what they were willing to go up to.

This habit of comparing two completely different players in different situations in different positions at different ages does my nut in a bit (I know you're not dong that, Chef). I've seen this Bellingham comparison a lot, but the comparison makes absolutely no sense other than it's a player from the same league. He's SIXTEEN and more than holding his own in one of the toughest leagues in the world. Dortmund know what they're doing. They're spending that money because they are almost positive that after a few years with them they'll make a huge, huge profit.

Maybe they won't, but I suspect the people there who are some of the most successful coaches and scouts in the world, and particularly brilliant at spotting talent just before it really explodes, know a little better than us.

Bare bones.

And almost guaranteed Champions League football for the next 2 seasons. Of course, he'll turn it down to stay at QPR. Or go to Brighton or Southampton or West Ham.

I'll say it again - do you really see him as a Champions League player - that's a big jump (or 3) from where he is now?

I don't see and don't follow Champions league since they took it off terrestrial TV but isn't there a world of difference between the group stage and the latter rounds. I wouldn't have thought that Bruges would be expected to get to the later rounds and therefore BOS's pace and power could be an asset against the lesser teams.

There's no minimum standard required for a Champions League player.

Dundalk are a Champions League club. I'm sure they're a very good team, but they're hardly Madrid.

Yes, he's only just got going recently in terms of goals.

He's also started to make a big impact by creating chances for other players (retrieving lost causes, making something out of nothing, crosses etc).
