Anyone, or do you know anyone whose experienced ghosts/aliens/fairies.....without being on the wacky. Never experienced any of these myself, but over the years know people that have, its always intrigued me. Back in the 70's used to work with a fellow who every sunday would drive from chiswick down to brighton for some sea fishing with his dad. One particular journey down there they were both joined by an unexpected object flying just above their car in which they both said, matter of factley, to me it was a space ship. it travelled with them a good 50 miles, as it was 4 in the morning not many other witnesses. They said believe us if will, we know what we saw.
One of my wifes mates was lying awake in the early hours in bed, and she saw, what to have been a young girl, 5 / 6 years old standing at the foot of the bed dressed in 17th century clothing....she was pretty shook up.
Lastly, i used to chat to 3 elderely irish women cleaners at the bbc back in the early 80's. the stories they used to come up with were unbelievable, but told with belief. journeys they used to take in ireland, the same journey mind, houses they passed that were'nt there the day before and visa versa.
maybe an explanation for all three, but knew these people well enough for no need to bullshit. anyway, as i've said, never experienced anything as such, but don't dissbelieve it.

I have had this experience several times , the child is like Kirsten Dunst as the child vampire Claudia in the film Interview with the Vampire. I usually waken screaming ,once she was right at the side of the bed (in my mind) and i ended up with a broken toe from kicking the wardrobe. Seems the image is a quite common nighttime experience, dream, vision whatever.
There is a forest about a mile from my house which is among the most haunted in the world and is said to possess a portal to another world or something like that.
i keep an open mind (some might disagree)

1973, black forest of germany, saw a ufo twice in a night, tracking like a satelite across the sky..........but.........
every 20 or so seconds it would stop, move at right angles, for 10 seconds, then continue forward, then do the same again.
Around 20 of us saw it that night, and the next day it was front page news, 'tracked on radar' etc etc Military and civilian radar tracked it apparently most strange and easily identifiable from satelites.
Oh, and our guests that night round the bbq were the cheif of police for Hamburg and his family, so not bad witnesses i suppose.
Worked out in California in the nineties coaching and always stayed with a host family. One host Dad was in the military as a photographer. He was showing us pics of stealth planes he had taken and ones of him sitting in them in the air. We touched on alien stuff and he concurred that stuff had been found and seen.
Also my Uncle was a GI on the ground radars during WW2. He said as they observed the dog fights on the screen they also witnessed other blips surrounding the fighting. They would then send up planes to investigate and the unidentified blips then would just disappear. He said it was like they were observers watching the proceedings. He married my Dads sister and moved to Dallas/Fort Worth and became a cop. Also said CIA knocked off JFK.
There is stuff on line about WW2 pilots witnessing weird stuff in the skies.

Not me, but back in the 30's when my nan and grandad moved to Campden Town, they had a dog and this dog would stand at the bottom of the stairs looking up at the landing barking and growling.
Turned out the former tennant had hanged himself from the landing
An old man built a cottage in Glengarriff in West Cork. He was warned that the house was on a fairy path. He didn't care. He built it anyway, moved in, went to bed. When he woke in the morning the house had moved twenty feet. Off the fairy path.
I think it's nonsense. But I know the house, and if you walk in the front gate and down the path it leads you straight to...nothing. To where the front door used to be.
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
A new motorway was built from Shannon to Ennis about twenty years ago. I was one of the workers on it. It passed by an old Sceách, which to some people is a whitethorn bush, to others a sacred fairy tree which brings bad luck to anyone that touches it.
At the grand opening, the head of the County Council addressed the Government Ministers, Mayor and other old soaks and during his speech he laughed at the rumour that the motorway had been moved at a cost of millions to avoid destroying the fairy bush. And they all laughed with him. Oh, the hilarity! Oh, the chuckles.
Except it had been. I'd seen the original plans. Millions.

I don't believe in any of it. But....

Very close by. Same peninsula.
Between the 60's hippies and the fishermen in off the seven seas there's so many drugs 'round our place that you could have got high driving through!

year 2000, stayed in the clare inn hotel, (20 years ago) used to walk from there to ennis, via clarecastle. the reason i mentioned clarecastle is there was two pubs in that little village, never been there before, as we were on holiday, me and the mrs. my birthday. popped into the first pub, the magpie, got chatting to the barmaid and a local, they said that the owner was from shepherds bush and owned a pub in uxbridge road, if your here friday you'll meet him. went back on the friday, the governer was standing behind the bar, my god, it was john o'neil who used to manage the white horse in uxbridge road. had a lovely evening, they all made a fuss of us, and got back to the hotel sloshed. the other pub was called navins.

I knew John was a Clare man but I never knew he was from Clarecastle. About two miles from the fairy bush!
