He's still only 30. Whilst there's not much in terms of sell on value, £600k is an absolute steal for a player of his quality and how he just rounds out the team with a perfect link between defence and attack.
If I was to pick one signing that would make us promotion hopefuls this season, it was this one.

Frank McLintock for £25k. Even in 1973 that was negligible. I doubt we'd have finished as high as 8th, first season back in the first division without him in the back four. |  |
