2) His chances of playing any minutes are far higher at Ipswich than at Rangers.
3) He is competeing for places in the starting team. He might get the vote, but that is not definite. At Rangers he would be competeing for a place on the bench & that would not be definite.
4) Perhaps he is not happy with life at Rangers?
5) Chaplin had not been signed when Bonne was.
6) There are very few times when a player on loan are guarenteed a starting position. We've had many that have hardly played.
I would suggest that he moved because he knew or he was told he would not be in the starting 11 very often.......he left for Ipswich, primarily, because he was told he would be getting a place in the Ipswich front line which suited him as his home club otherwise he would not have moved to Ipswich(he is still young, he needs to earn a living, he needs to play). It would then be up to him and his performances, play good and score goals he keeps his place, play poorly and he will be replaced if others are better than him.

I can't see any need for new players, we're well covered in all areas. If we were being picky maybe a pacy left-footed winger/attacking midfielder as I suspect we'll mostly play a 3-4-3 with Thomas the only cover for Chair & Willock.
I think this fella fits the bill being that our wide players will be in the 4, so essentially wing backs
Just listened to the recent QPR Podcast ‘The Gaffer Tapes’ where MW is asked about the decision to send Bonne out on loan.
MW does say IF the right player becomes available and is in budget it will be considered.
Yes, he does say that but it's the same as the managers saying any player in the squad is available for the right price. The statements are true but really mean transfer business is unlikely to happen.

Respect your opinion DMM but his conversation don’t come across like that to me.

I suspect barring injury or sudden departure we're done.
Which is great imo. We've had too bloated squads since the Prem era. This is tight, with cover, and done early enough that it did pre season together and acquitted itself very well against a couple of Prem squads.

Agreed. MW has always liked smaller squads and this 'feels' like we're just about right.
If we were minted and greedy I could maybe see MW being tempted by another direct pace forward option, he obviously appreciates the extra that Odubajo's brought. Thomas, Adomah and the U23s should suffice here in the real world though.

We could offer him a 30% stake in the club and then he could take us to the Prem and coin it in himself and also have a legacy of an easy to get to (near Heathrow) Prem club that he controls a massive stake in.
Keeping him in football with a challenging goal and to play in the Prem and to be the boss rather than the lacky.
ALERT: We interrupt this wild fantasy to leave the Twilight Zone and immdiatly return back to Planet Earth and the real world.

Hence the Bonne loan. I am guessing he is no longer needed and we need to put him in the shop window to sell him.
If we sign anyone now it will either be some amazing lucky signing or it will more likely be one for the future, a young and hungry one like Willock. Probably at the end of the transfer window when everyone else has missed him and we can nip in, snatch him up for much cheapness.
Guessing again, but I would not be surprised if we go back in for that LB we missed out on and at the same offered amount to test their resolve again.
Agree and uncle can play there in an emergency/last 15 mins etc
