Personally, I think it's more likely to be the 5th & at home to Swansea on the 11th (if this is postoned on Saturday).
I don't totally rule out the trip to Sheffield being December 21st/22nd, but I suspect Sheffield police might deem it as not long enough notification, especially in the lead up to Christmas. | | | |

I think your reading too much into it
I took it in gallows humour that it would be typical of Rangers to get done for this even though loads of other clubs have had games cancelled for same reason

I know its extremely likely because thats how a significant proportion of commercial organisations post content on their web sites, they tend to not want to pay people to work on a sunday and people tend not to want to so providing the content already exists you load it up and set the publish date and time to when you want it to start being visible on the live web site

Moreover, football doesn't work like other industries so standard practice doesn't apply. Football folk do work on weekends, especially when there's a match scheduled for Monday evening.
Finally, even if what you're speculating is true, the underlying point still remains. Let's say that both articles were scheduled on Friday; it still remains the case that someone at QPR thought it was a good idea to publish 2 conflicting articles at the same time. | | | |

If anyone thinks the Club are trying to 'pull a fast one' then I would suggest that they think again....the rules will most certainly be 'proof' by way of doctors or test results. The Club would not just do that because it would put us in serious trouble with serious consequences.
I would also suggest that we would not want two more fixtures later in the season, because I would be most surprised if the Swansea game will go ahead, moved to other dates in case it clashes with other non QPR fixtures, ie, African Cup or World Cup matches. [Post edited 12 Dec 2021 20:13]

If, as we are being told, this new variant is transmitting easily and doubling every two-three days, I doubt there'll be a sports fixture left on by Christmas, let alone a football match.
For football, I can't imagine we're going to complete this season, start next season early to accommodate the World Cup, and then have the World Cup as scheduled.
