Onuhua played under him at Citeh I think that might explain some of it.

Think both Pardew and Bruce have achieved far more as a managers and with far less admiration and fan fare about them than Hughes ever has anywhere as a manager.

Pretty sure both of them whip him for overall and the fact he's had to drop down this far proves it.

Odd though he's heading to 60 and cannot need the money so......

Well, he's boring as a pundit, so probably minimal work there.

He's been out of the game for more than three years and at 58 probably run out of options.
Maybe misses the job and desperate to be involved.

It will be very different than any of his previous roles!

I think the BIG sky money came in just as he was retiring so ironically he had probably made more money as a terrible manager than he did as an excellent player

I remember that cheesed off face and the sat back, arms folded look of "what the hell am I doing here"? ... Got to feel for Bradford fans

Sounds familiar.

"So Mark, it's time for your performance review. When you took over the role, the club was 11 points clear of the team in third last position. Today, with three games to go until the end of the season, that gap is now 8 points. So the teams in the bottom three have outperformed us in that period of time. WTF?"

Nearly 10 years and this one has aged like a particularly cheeky Bordeaux.

Shame he came in too late to get ‘em relegated….though for some reason or other I quite like Bradford, so maybe better languishing near the bottom.

I quite like Bradford too, but basically because of the fire and how everyone conducted themselves with a quiet dignity.

I remember working as a manager of a Bookies in Leicester that saturday, and it came over the tannoy.

Then seeing the un-censored BBC news later that evening, and those images still send a shiver through this old aching body, and the x rated video ...... for those not too squeemish in a thank god it wasnt me, or a 'there for the grace if god go i', feel free to watch the true meaning of a 'disaster'
