HT REPORT
How have we survived to 0-0 at HT?
Blackburn have had a massive majority of possession.
They haven't scored in over 8 and a half hours of football.
Long may that continue.
Khadra - two chances - missed both - one saved by Seny whose been outstanding.
And the Blackburn defence - when we had a 10 minute spell of possession - looks very shaky. Albert and Chair both missed chances.
Warbs may turn to Thomas and Amos - as he did v Blackpool - to give us some pace in the middle and some possession.
Not great but we're still in with a chance.

Very poor final balls from us, we got in some great positions but Willock and Chair in particular made the wrong decisions. Johansen had a nightmare first 30 giving it away but is into the e game now.
I quite like this formation, has promise if we could be better with the ball.

Pleased to get in at half time all level. The Blackburn number 7 has to be one of the best players i've seen against us this season since Mario VranÄić for Stoke.

Acceptable first half.
We could tighten up our passing in midfield, we seem to give the ball away too easily.
Most of Blackburn’s chances have come from our mistakes, but we’ve absorbed the pressure.

We don't have a striker on the field. Frankly, we don't have a lot in the striker department at the moment. We cannot always rely on a goal from a defender.
What is surprising is that with so many midfielders on the field and so many ball control specialists, we cannot hold onto the ball in midfield. With this much class and talent, we should be dominating midfield and controlling the tempo.
But, it is 0-0 at HT, we have taken the sting out of their side, worked through their initial energy. If we can come out with intensity, by 60 minutes their legs will be going and their spirits will be gone. Bring the Dominator on at halftime for Fields (on a yellow and looking risky) to secure the middle and bring Amos and George on at 60 minutes and 75 minutes respectively and power through for the 1-0 win.
Come on Warbs, sort it ahhht!

Odubajo and Albert can't just chuck in crosses as normal because there is no centre forward. So we've got to pass through Blackburn, and one of the midfield players will have to score (unless we can get something from a set piece). We do look good going forward when all the passes come off. |  |

As well as Field has played recently he’s in a yellow which reduces his effectiveness considerably. I’d like to see Dom Ball come in for him. For all our midfield numbers they are passing and moving between our lines. |
...and there is that watchword for these fckng "professional" refs again. Consistency. The first yellow for Field marginal, but the one at half time certainly a yellow. The two Bburn ones - Travis and Johnson yellow all day, not given WHY WHY WHY. Inconsistent. If you are going to book someone for a trackback trip after 8 minutes, you have set your stall out and you need to be booking players for yellow card offences from that point forward.
I would make the change Field < Ball though as Sam Field is another innocuous one off from sitting in the early bathwater. |  |

Thought the Field yellow was harsh. FK yes, but card not for me.
Saying that he got away with a possible just before HT.
