Never knowingly right.

H'mm, following that line of thought - we could have been Victoria Park Rangers...playing in Hackney!

There wasn't much in the way of thought process for my post.. ;) Just a light hearted joke.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

Paddington probably on the next plane to Rwanda.

Well done to all the backstage staff they did a great job.I also thought Adam Lambert is a much better frontman than Freddie Mercury ever was.

As a self-loathing left leaning Ulster unionist with a small 'u' I tend to stay out of these monarchy discussions lest I cause myself an aneurysm, but I draw the fcuking line at the very idea of Lambert over Mercury!

1936 and the abdication of Edward VIII isn’t a precedent for Charles stepping aside. The constitution decreed that the monarch couldn’t marry a divorcee. It’s changed now. Charles has waited nearly 3/4 of a century to do the job he was born to do. I think he’ll stick with it.

Of course it’s a precedent!

Irrespective of the reason for the 1936 abdication, or even Harry stepping down, Charles can step aside. As I said, I don’t think he will, but I think he should.

I think Adam Lambert is a great showman but he doesn't hold a candle to Freddie's voice IMHO. I actually think Sam Ryder is a lot closer to Freddie's vocal range than Adam.

Shut your eyes and for me this is Freddie reincarnated.

Sam Ryder has one of the widest mouthes in music.

Fair play to her. I'm in no way a Royalist but I'll be sad when she passes. A remarkable lady.

Genuine question, not trying to stir. Why do people think she's remarkable?

Have a read of her life story and her devotion to her country whilst setting aside your views of privilege, class war or revolution and tell me she’s not been impressive.

And that’s a wrap

Nope. Edward only had a choice of staying if he told Wallis to do one. Charles has never had to make that choice. Still, whether or not he takes over he’ll not have any jubilee I suspect. And who knows he might make a great king.

Did as requested.

She seems to have had a behind the scenes role in the end of apartheid, also overseeing the process of decolonisation. Both to be applauded, absolutely.

Beyond that, she seems to have...well, toured the world a lot, whilst never really expressing an opinion as it's not the done thing for a monarch.

Afraid I'm still with Stacey Solomon - I don't get it:

Strange…. I thought you’d be all for a working Mother who has also raised over One Billion quid for various charities under her patronage whilst also doing her day job (which might well be a series of jollies around the world…. Sales sell, marketeers market) and raising a dysfunctional family.
A woman who wants nothing more than for Britain to be Great and for all to prosper.

You say tomato I say bollox and so the dance goes on so I’m to bed after raising a glass too many to HRH

Cant agree, saw Freddie in his pomp and Adam Lambert last night at the o2.

Freddie could manipulate an entire stadium, he gave out an aura that pricked (!) all your senses.

Lambert is good but only an 8/10 compared to Fred.

Paul Rodgers is awesome.

As for last night the order of the set list was like that back in the day, thankfully Brian May did his guitar solo always handy for a quick run to the loo

Rods Stewart Caroline was awful, he opened by kind of apologising saying the BBC made him do it

captains fantastic

That light show at the end was pretty impressive…. No idea how they made the projections hang in the air to form the corgi etc???????

The music way out of my personal taste spectrum but fair play on the production

Good speeches by Charlie and Wills.

Now onto the final day and everything crossed I can have a beer in the street (and not sing football songs which I’d normally be doing during such behaviour)

You mean LTJ Bukem wasn't on the bill? Frankly, I'm shocked!

I missed most of the celebrations due to work but the Paddington and drumming on the teacup skits were terrific

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
