I think the 2nd half performance was overall poor given the opposition and proves that our squad needs improvement.
Masterson is not a cdm and QPR need to replace Ball.

I've wondered why Beale has persisted in using Masterson as Johansen's replacement as he's clearly not the same type of player. Perhaps it's to see if he can help close out a game? I'm not sure he can. I'd have thought switching Field into the CDM position would be a better idea.

Keep Armstrong and if possible arrange decent B team games to play him or just have put on the bench to play the last 10-15 mins of games at least until we sign a minimum of one more striker.
With 5 subs allowed this season our squad is woefully short on strikers and Armstrong already looks a better prospect than Kelman. This leaves us with the following attackers Dykes, Bonne, Willock and Roberts - who I know little about as I rarely noticed Leeds play the last 2 seasons and he has missed the pre season games through injury.
If QPR are to play an energetic high press game our attackers will need to run around a lot more than they did during the last two seasons and having good options on the bench could be vital. | | | |

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and people measure performances in different ways. Personally i thought he played as well as could be expected. I dont have the breakdown of his personal stats but he was certainly no worse than anyone else in that second half. A goal and an assist is adding end product which is something he is often criticised for.
Just as a side, MW didn't want to develop him and you could see by how sparingly he was used and even when he had a good game last season he didn't get a run in the team and even last night he Bonne and dunne were playing with the 2nd team which MB acknowledged was difficult and disjointed. I think its hard to form an opinion on a player from 10 minute cameos here and there. If he can get a run and a few goals after a bad few years maybe we will see the player that Cov/leic bought! | | | |
